Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified. The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far. Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete. As an immediate precaution, Binance has: - temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed; - revoked the affected address authorisation; - engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds. Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice. Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions. binance.com/en/support/annou…

An Open Letter to @cryptopunks Owners @nodefnd acceptance of the Punk Strategy (PNKSTR) donation raises serious questions about stewardship, accountability, and the risks being taken on behalf of Punk holders. My thoughts below.

1/ The blur.io frontend will be deprecated on November 12, 2026. This deprecation only applies to the frontend. The Blur marketplace protocol will remain operational on-chain, and $BLUR will continue to control its fee switch.

Just acquired a stack of killer hoodie Phunks. Why? Something is brewing. Projects that own their marketplace control their own destiny. CryptoPhunks.com runs on the same battle-tested code as the community's v1 and v2 CryptoPunk marketplaces.

You see the gut reaction by some to sell NFTs as Eth pumps because they are now worth more in USD. This is the worst time to do that. NFTs have gone through multi-year consolidation. Prices are down. It takes almost no liquidity to move a collection 100%. Majors including Eth catching major bids is gonna ramp the # of holders in a parabolic fashion. The sellers who left from boredom, exhausting or overperformance in other sectors will all come back. JPEGs are fun to hold. Anyone who is aware of them is tempted to buy them when they try to hold Eth. Then you have two groups that both grow rapidly 1) buying NFTs because they want them 2) seeing an opportunity to turn Eth into more Eth Both are about to ramp parabolically. And the relative scarcity of collections that have survived the brutal winter is real. imo this small selloff from the turbopump on majors is the last dip for important Eth NFTs

Mint extended 24h ETH gas is spiking right now, and we’re not going to make anyone mint at a bad time. Everyone gets another 24 hours. A few things you’ve been asking, all in one place  Why does gas feel so high? 😐 Because your mint does much more than a standard NFT mint. In a single transaction, it: :one:Mints your Exquisite ERC-721 fully onchain. The artwork lives permanently inside Ethereum itself not on an IPFS link or a server that can disappear. :two: Registers its ERC-8004 onchain agent identity and binds it to your token. That means an NFT mint, an agent registration, a registry write, and a trustless transfer all executed atomically in one transaction. Either everything succeeds, or everything reverts. A “cheap” mint often just stores a URL pointing to a JPEG that someone must continue paying to host. Here, you’re paying once for permanence. Network gas is also elevated right now, which is exactly why we’re extending the mint. Why is the mint page different from the collection page? 🙃 We use a wrapper contract. A dedicated mint contract handles the payment and minting process, then delivers your Exquisite to the actual collection. The address you interact with during the mint the wrapper is therefore different from the collection where your NFT ultimately lives. That’s by design, not a bug. Why are there two collection pages? 2⃣ For the same reason: • One is the mint and payment contract the wrapper. • The other is the real collection where your Compas settles and trades. Your Compas will appear on the main collection page. Fully onchain. Self-custodied. Agent-bound. Mint page: opensea.io/collection/compas… Trading page: opensea.io/collection/compas…
