If only we can get that Rambler app on other devices, it has been so good on my Pixel, easily clears all speech to text apps.
Googlebook is officially here! I’ve been so excited to share the details with the world. Today, many of us rely heavily on laptops to get work done, but we think there is an opportunity to rethink the category to address the needs of people today. So we brought the best of ChromeOS and Android to create a new platform for laptops. Our initial focus with Googlebook is to deliver an amazing laptop that feels awesome for Android phone users. Here’s what to know about Googlebook 🧵👇

Late to the party, but I'm glad that I took the plunge.

White noise helps my baby fall asleep quickly and sleep longer. Deployed an app for that as I wasn't satisfied with the free apps out there. More on this later. First time used Cloudflare workers (or should I say pages) for this. The DX was seamless.

Shipped a major overhaul to the dashboard based on user feedback. Before the users have to traverse multiple pages to create an event. Now, all happens on the same page. Greatly improves the UX.

This post is about a traumatizing experience we had with our new born last night. Around 12AM our baby started crying. Usually it's due to hunger, gas build up or for diaper change. We fed her and changed the diaper. We couldn't get her to burp though. Still the cry didn't stop. Whenever this happens, I hold her close to my chest and rock her for 5 minutes to make her sleep. This time around it's different, she didn't stop. Her crying was inconsolable. Her whole body became red from the crying. 12 became 1 and 1 became 2, we couldn't make her stop crying. We noticed her stomach was hard and bloated. We didn't know what to do. You can imagine the distress this could cause us as it's all new to us. I asked 3 LLMs and Google. All of them suggested this over the counter simetheoin syrup. I was still a little hesitant to try it as our baby is only 18 days old. A Reddit post reassured me that it's safe to give that syrup to newborns for gas related issues. At 3 in the night, I couldn't find any open pharmacies on Google maps. My wife had @letsblinkit installed. It was like they anticipated the demand for these drugs late at night and had it in stock. It was delivered in 9 mins. 20 mins after having that syrup our baby finally started sleeping. Grateful to have access to these 24 X 7 10 minute delivery services. Blinkit saved our day!

Implemented interactive demo above the fold for tlcow.com. In Marc Lou's words, "the visitors shouldn't work hard to see the juice."

Convinced. I'm switching boats once there's an option to import umami data.

It's crazy how much you can save on domains by switching to an at-cost registrar. I had to renew a .org domain on BigRock. I moved it to Cloudflare and paid 36% less for the renewal.

Despite fighting sleep deprivation as a new dad, managed to ship the revamped timeline today! It's not easy taking care of a baby. Thought I'd be out for at least 2 months.

From Google's POV, it makes sense to have strict restrictions like this to keep bad actors at bay. Also, this is only for their restricted scopes that access sensitive user data. Been doing this for years. Their verification team has always been swift and supportive.
jfc google go fuck yourself seriously...

Marketing updates: r/SideProject: got 500 views. Didn't get the traction expected. Will try again after a week. r/QuantifiedSelf: #1 post of the sub. 2.3K views and counting. One super interested user is giving feedback worth its weight in gold. A niche Facebook group: got blocked immediately. Takeaways: - The potential market for my product is smaller than expected. Will have to work hard to get the first 100 users. - For most users, it's a vitamin not a pain killer. That makes it difficult to get sign ups. What's next: Timeline (USP) of the app is underwhelming. It must improve. Will work on that before resuming marketing efforts.

It's simpler than you think. When done well, you'll get great community feedback. 1. Don't share app link (someone will ask for it usually). 2. Tailor content to subreddit. 3. Make posts engaging or discussion-sparking. 4. Check week's top posts for insights.
How do I stop getting banned on Reddit :(

Someone might find this useful.
Not sure who needs this, but you can create VPS with 4 OCPUs and 24 GB of memory for free on Oracle Cloud. You just have to add your card. Been using it for 6 months to host some utility OSS apps. Never been charged a dime.

So, now I've to pay to counter🤦‍♂️
Whenever I get a Stripe dispute, I just give up. Haven't successfully countered one. This Reddit post gives me hope. The person in the quoted tweet asked me to cancel their subscription after seeing my automated email. Then went on to dispute the renewal stating "they cancelled". I would've definitely refunded their payment after cancelling the subscription. They didn't reply to my email as well regarding the dispute. Going to counter the dispute and let's see what happens.
