Yesterday was my last day as a Senior Journalist Reporter for BBC Radio 1, 1xtra and Asian Networkās Newsbeat! I started 9 months ago - in a new way of working, a new role, a new title, at a new team, working on new output, for new radio stations, in a completely new location.
Iām incredibly proud to have been in charge of such a prestigious and impressive news beast that is Newsbeat when huge global events occurred like the Iran war, Iranian protests, Venezuela, Bondi shooting - the list goes on.
Iām also proud to have secured Newsbeat bylines across the BBC for the team and I, and pushed their journalism to other outlets.
But I miss broadcasting - so Iām excited for my new chapter š

Yesterday marked my first working week in my new way of working!
I spent the weekend shadowing and overseeing Newsbeat bulletins and then 3 days reading the news for BBC Radio Manchester.
A first time subbing bulletins for Newsbeat and a first time reading the news for Radio Manchester during the week!
