It’s so insane to see so many fans so distraught that the team is 6-1. Bad loss, yes, and the offense looks murky. But there are some good things. Lots of football left.

People blaming Kyler are pretty dumb He had 2 tds and led the team in rushing with 35 yards We have no running game. We need Jonathan Taylor. #Vikings

Can't win em all 6-1 still a great start to the season and still the #1 in the NFC North. Huge games coming up vs Bills, Green Bay & 49ers. Time for Teasley to get the Taylor trade done #Vikings

True. At the same time, I believe it’s roughly 6.5% of cap spend over ‘27 & ‘28 … pair a JT-led run game with a DEF playing like this and you’ve got a formula that works. Add in fact that ‘27 1st rounder is mid-20s at highest, and it’s a hard deal to not make, especially if you care about winning this year.

For the Vikings specifically, the Taylor conversation is less about money for ‘26 than it is the future money on his contract. Pay a premium at the RB position in ‘27 and ‘28, and you’re then having to make a bunch of real tough decisions with a ton of major roster questions (QB, TE, LB, DT, CB, etc.) after this season.

I don’t care what anyone says that doesn’t want JT on the Vikings. The time is now. Vikings go get JT!!!!! Do not let him get to the Seahawks or Packers. #Skol #Vikings

Colts want a 2nd plus a RB so #Vikings would need to give up Mason or Jones

You don’t bring in Jonathan Taylor to split carries three ways. You bring him in to get 20-plus carries. So Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason just watch? I don’t understand how trading for Jonathan Taylor makes sense.
