Four members of my family were burnt alive in 1984. November 1st is not just a date; it is an unhealed wound for thousands of Sikh families who lost their families in Sikh Genocide.
When I urged Diljit Dosanjh to reschedule his Delhi concert planned for Nov1st, he graciously agreed and moved the show.
If a megastar can show such sensitivity, why can’t Rahul Gandhi and Congress? Democracy demands empathy, not insensitivity. Especially when Congress was squarely responsible for this genocide against Sikhs
The Diwali season is also vital for traders and small businesses, whose livelihoods must be considered and rally should be shifted to post Diwali.

The death of 35-year-old Daljit Singh in Mansa, the alleged police high-handedness, and the reported seizure of his body are deeply disturbing. A grieving family deserves dignity, not force and intimidation. Punjab Police must ensure transparency, respect the family’s rights, and allow a fair investigation. Punjab cannot afford to silence its people when they demand answers.

Public life is not a free pass for personal abuse. When a national leader uses vulgar language against the late father of the Hon'ble Prime Minister @narendramodi ji . It is the complete collapse of dignity and basic ethics.
Political differences are legitimate. Targeting a departed elder is not. When you have no answers for the people, you attack the family. In 1984, four members of my family were burnt alive. For thousands of Sikh families, this date is a wound, not a political stage.
Congress should call off its rally on nov 1st and observe it as Sikh Genocide Day instead.

It was a pleasure to participate in an interaction organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM) with senior representatives of leading US companies operating in India, as part of the engagement with the India–US Parliamentary Friendship Group.

3 महीने में नशामुक्त पंजाब का वादा कर सत्ता में आई भगवंत मान सरकार में नशे का कारोबार भी बढ़ गया है। नशे के खिलाफ लड़ाई लड़ते हुए गुरदासपुर के विक्रमजीत सिंह, संगरूर के गुलजार सिंह और मानसा के परविंदर सिंह झोटा ने अपना जीवन गँवाया।
आज केंद्रीय गृह एवं सहकारिता मंत्री श्री अमित शाह जी ने गुरदासपुर, संगरूर और मानसा में इनके परिजनों से उनके आवास पर जाकर भेंट की और आश्वासन दिया कि एक भी दोषी को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा।
साथ ही उन्होंने यह संकल्प दोहराया कि 31 दिसंबर 2029 से पहले पंजाब सहित पूरे देश को नशे के कारोबार से मुक्त करेंगे।

Meeting Angadveer and Fatehveer, the young sons of Shaheed Parvinder Singh Jhota Ji, was deeply moving. No child should have to grow up without a father who gave his life fighting the drug menace.
As a small commitment to his family and the Punjab he fought for, I have taken responsibility for the education of both children and will establish a Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Mansa in his memory.
His fight must continue through the lives we save and the futures we protect. Angadveer and Fatehveer must always know that their father’s courage will never be forgotten, and that they will never stand alone and it is our duty to support his widow and our sister Manpreet Kaur.
