Just got an email from (Spotify? Ticketmaster? I already forget) reminding me that The National is playing near Boston on my 40th birthday. Looking forward to teasing my second kid about this someday.

(To be clear, I am not actually bothered by this, it all just feels very Aging Millennial.)

I should probably have said comfortable temperature. The ideal (outdoor) temperature is 65 degrees. But anywhere from 50 to 80 is usually comfortable enough.
I see weather discourse is trending. The reality is that the ideal temperature is 50-80. 45-49 and 81-85 are acceptable under certain conditions.

This is hilarious.
Green Line B Branch: Service between Packard's Corner and Boston College is standing by due to a balloon caught in the overhead wires near Washington Street. Shuttle Buses are being dispatched to accommodate passengers.

Another issue is that those giant screens all have ads and the departure screens are tiny and on columns at the side of the station. They could show departures on one of the giant screens! (Yes, I was stuck here yesterday.)
I know the discourse sucks, but to have passengers sitting on granite floors for hours instead of proper seating is just completely unacceptable.

The Star Wars sequels are the perfect movies to watch on planes. Forgettable, unchallenging, entertaining enough. Watching them isn't a bad way to pass the time, but if you doze off, that's fine, too.
Star Wars prequels: meh Star Wars sequels: hot garbage Andor: AWESOME House of the Dragon: decent Legend of Korra: decent Rings of Power: hot garbage Star Trek: Discovery: meh Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: AWESOME What can we learn from these successes and failures?

I've never seen Super Size Me, but I did once ask Morgan Spurlock if he was using an extra chair at a bar in the East Village. He said "all you, buddy."
Media culture in the 2000’s was a wild time, Super Size Me and Freakonomics got so huge — today they’d get destroyed before they could’ve ever gone that viral.

At some point I will probably check this out, but my initial reaction upon seeing was "that's what Thom Yorke looks like now? Wow I feel old."
Anyone can write a column ranking Radiohead albums. But I wrote a column about the entire Radiohead Cinematic Universe ahead of the new LP by The Smile next week. uproxx.com/indie/every-radio…

Hey @MBTA why do you keep cancelling scheduled runs of the 73 bus? The route was included in your plan for frequent bus service but it often functionally runs every 25-30 minutes because so many runs get cancelled. Is this ever going to end?

This reminds of the the very specific biotech subway ads in Boston.
The funniest part of living in Northern Virginia is constantly seeing metro ads that are exclusively targeted at like ~4 procurement officers at the Pentagon
