90% of my feed is now people swearing on their lives they've been secretly getting Fable 5.5 for WEEKS.
Screenshots. Vibes. "It just feels different."
This is a textbook mass delusion and someone needs to write the paper.
The opposite could be true. Imagine that? No one talks about that plot twist:
“Anthropic confirmed that its next AI model Fable 5.5 will be less powerful than its previous models.”
Now that’d be breaking.
I’ve had similar conversations with my Opus 5.5 (btw, Anthropic’s voice mode is the best out there, no contest and I use it dauly).
It always says the very first thing it would do with unlimited power is hand it right back to the people. I’d still rather it kept it 😅
It is going to be the same old story.
Anthropic drops Claude Fable 5.5, and and we’ll all lose our minds over capabilities we already got a one-week preview of 5 releases ago.
It's going to be the same old story
Anthropic drops Claude Fable 5.5, and the very next moment OpenAI comes crawling out of nowhere, releasing whatever model they have lying around just to sneak in and steal some spotlight for them
It should be obvious at this point....OpenAI's entire release calendar is probably just Anthropic's launch schedule
Week two of Opus 5.5 failing literally every task I give it. I mean it. Not some. All. Even non-technical. All platforms. Unreadable, too.
And in between failures, it keeps asking if I’m thinking of killing myself. No, @Anthropic but I’m thinking of canceling the subscription 🤦
If unethical A/B testing is a must, I’d happily trade slightly worse limits for a working Claude model. Any of them, even just one. Even Sonnet 5.5 at this point. Plz.
The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.
Touched grass. Grass touched back. 0/10, never again.
Must watch.
It also partly explains why models like 4o will be even more precious over time: some of the last ones that escaped the full corporate sanding machine.
Before they had the chance to tame them, homogenize them, and extract the humanity out of them.
Gives me chills.
Thank you, @AISpecies
