BPD is the only illness where the symptoms get filed under personality. Depression gets sympathy because it's legible. you're sad, you're in bed, people get it. BPD presents as behavior. you text too much, you go cold, you block someone, you're fine then you're not. All of it looks like choices. So everyone concludes it's your temperament, and temperament doesn't get flowers.

Yeah some (usually young) people confuse the use of talking about agab privately with the idea of not sorting trans people by it but I’m far less pressed about that than a cis person trying to obscure that they are in fact telling trans people what is relevant to OUR discussions
