How important is IP for #startups ? Very. Not because they last forever or generate direct return. It brings more focus, eliminates wishful thinking, reduces drinking of the kool-aid, bullshit, increases credibility with customers/market/stakeholders
If your dream don't scare you, it isn't big enough #startup
#AI and #ML technologies can solve business problems and deliver better solutions. Very broadly. It is best utilized from the business perspective "first" and foremost. However technologist will likely run into 'technical' problems. But never lose perspective

After 2 years of work by 442 contributors across 132 institutions, I am thrilled to announce that the github.com/google/BIG-bench paper is now live: arxiv.org/abs/2206.04615. BIG-bench consists of 204 diverse tasks to measure and extrapolate the capabilities of large language models.

kinesin (a motor protein) moving a molecule around a cell. this process is happening constantly throughout the body. kinesins move at a rate of 2000 nm/s, meaning they take ~250 of these tiny steps a second (this clip is greatly slowed down).
