West Bengal Chief Secretary 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗷 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗹 has written to the Union Health Ministry seeking priority consideration for a proposed 𝗔𝗜𝗜𝗠𝗦 𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗷. The state has identified approximately 𝟭𝟴𝟬 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘀 for the proposed institution.
𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, under the previous government. This proposal is a 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 towards stronger regional healthcare and medical education. Credit to the @cmowbgov and administration for raising the issue

Currently there are two simultaneous race wars, Turkey vs. China and Japan vs. French leftist/immigrants.
The Japanese 🇯🇵, as you know, are culturally allergic to public disorder. So the Franco-Japanese War kicked off when they saw French accounts cheering on the riots while using anime avatars and Japanese characters in their handles.
They said those anime characters are about virtues such as courage, justice, effort, and friendship, and they shouldn't be associated with torching cars or looting. Basically the message was: “if you need a symbol for destruction, invent your own. Stop culturally appropriating ours for your ugly ends.”
From there it escalated into classical mutual stereotype annihilation. The Japanese didn't hold back, using typical allusions to apes and hounding on their failure to build thriving societies despite being given all the aid and welfare in the world. The French accounts (majority were rocking North African flags) hit back, insulting Japanese for screwing sex dolls and working so hard they commit suicide. It wasn't pretty.
While that was cooking, a separate Turkey vs. China war was already underway. Algerians 🇩🇿 noticed and decided to ride for their “Turkish brothers,” dropping cartoons roasting the Chinese.
The Moroccans 🇲🇦, watching from the sidelines, started laughing and saying "screw the Ummah," telling them they really didn’t want to invite the Chinese to attack them. The Algerian account responded by calling the Moroccan’s sister a whore. This, my friends is what I personally call "fractal racism."
On the surface, you think it's just one undifferentiated “brown Muslim” mass. But when you zoom in, what you get is infinite-resolution tribalism and more divisions of recursive hate. At this magnification, the French Muslim immigrant blob split along Maghrebi lines that few of us outsiders know exist.
French-Algerian accounts volunteering as Turkish proxies then invites Chinese 🇨🇳 online aggression. Which means the Chinese and Japanese (and Koreans 🇰🇷 who joined them), are now united in common cause in mutual contempt for the same people. Two separate race wars are threatening to collapse into one lol.

Where and how else could this have happened? Two sides with the deepest historical hatreds on the planet, and likely a fissure point of the next actual kinetic World War, are briefly aligned.

After 32 years State Govt bus service to Salmara,Najir Hat,Kursha Hat,Basanti Hat,Baman Hat - is resumed by BJP Dinhata MLA Ajoy Roy.
In 1994 Left Govt stopped Bus service after people of this area voted against them.

Police sources say he snatched a service revolver during crime-scene reconstruction between 3-3:30 AM, fired at cops & jumped into a pond to escape. Police fired in self-defence, after which he was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead at the hospital.

West Bengal has initiated a fresh review of the proposed extension of the East-West Metro (Green Line) from Salt Lake Sector V to Kolkata Airport, directing RITES to urgently reassess the seven-year-old Detailed Project Report (DPR) at a meeting yesterday
Key details:
➤ 14 km extension: The proposed corridor would connect Salt Lake Sector V with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport.
➤ ₹2,365 crore original estimate: RITES prepared the DPR seven years ago. The state wants updated costs reflecting current market prices.
➤ Underground route planned: The proposal envisages taking the Green Line underground from Kaikhali to the airport because an elevated alignment would face difficulties near the existing Garia–Airport Metro corridor and the Haldiram flyover.
➤ Utilities and geological risks: RITES must examine underground drainage, water and electricity lines, groundwater conditions and other potential tunnelling obstacles, including risks similar to those encountered at Bowbazar.
➤ Multi-agency consultation: RITES officials have met representatives of the state power distribution company, CESC, PWD, irrigation department, Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, police, KMRC and the Transport Department yesterday.
➤ Centre's approval required: Once the revised DPR is ready, the state plans to submit it formally to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, which oversees the project.
➤ 50:50 cost-sharing: The project is envisaged as a joint Centre–state undertaking, with each responsible for 50% of the cost. JICA had previously provided a loan of approximately ₹4,319 crore for the existing East-West Metro project.
➤ Political and railway hurdle: The report says previous TMC govt had earlier been reluctant to approve the extension, while the state now expects cooperation from the Centre.
The existing Green Line already connects Howrah Maidan with Salt Lake Sector V, including the under-Hooghly tunnel. Extending it to the airport could create another major cross-city connection, but the revised cost, technical feasibility and central approval remain crucial hurdles.
If realised, the extension could link Howrah, central Kolkata, Salt Lake and the airport on one continuous Metro corridor—another major step towards an integrated transport network for the city.
Damn this would be real good. If they also extend to Santraganchi Bus terminus via Shalimar & Santraganchi stations, this line will connect all the major transport hub of the cities alone.
I guess we need to also think of crowd management solutions next.
