This is fucking disgusting. Individual cops being able to sue private citizens because they didn't "comply" to being arrested well enough should fucking scare you.
In a rare case, two Des Moines police officers are suing councilperson Indira Sheumaker and several residents to “redress wrongs” from a 2020 BLM protest.
A Drake professor at the protest said police made arrests “the worst possible way.”

These are both ads put out by major Republican donors, Daniel Defense, who manufactured the AR-15 used in the Uvalde school shooting & The NRA, but tell me again how it's school teachers, books & the LGBTQ community indoctrinating America's children.

'It has ever been my delight to learn or to teach or to write.' ~ Bede
Today is the feast of the Venerable Bede, monk and scholar, whose remains were brought to @durhamcathedral 1000 years ago this year.

The oldest surviving copy of Bede's own work in @durhamcathedral's collections is another manuscript fragment.
Pasted into the binding of a book printed in Strasburg in 1474 are two rare 9th-century manuscript fragments of Bede’s commentary on Genesis.

One of the most remarkable surviving Books of Hours, completed in 1554 and famous enough to be frequently noted & described throughout the 17th, 18th & 19th centuries - was owned and entirely illuminated by the Abbé of this monastic island, a few miles of the coast of Cannes. 1/

Since the retail security manager I spoke with wouldn't commit to passing my feedback up the ladder, just want to ensure @HyVee understands I will no longer do business with them, so long as they maintain armed security.
I encourage everyone else to find better options, as well.

Notes from a high support needs autistic individual:
-boost high support needs and reclaimed severes posts
-never use the word severe even if someone reclaimed it
- a nonverbal child often is a non verbal adult.
-semi verbal children can become non-verbal as they age —

This is a great object lesson in how you get a theoretical "Dark Ages". If we have lost half of all films from just a hundred years ago when our society does have an emphasis on preservation, why are you surprised that we don't have a tonne of documents from 1200 years ago?
“Martin Scorsese’s The Film Foundation said that basically half of all American films made before 1950 are lost, & none of the major distributors are looking for them. Even worse, they said that more than 90% of films made before 1929 are lost forever.”
