Tonight Alabama voters replaced a Republican in the Alabama State House with a Democrat who’s also a trans woman. The tsunami might not reach the governor’s mansion, but it touched Alabama.
Tommy Tuberville is declaring victory in the AL governor’s race tonight, but with about 40K fewer votes than the rest of the statewide GOP candidates in a state notorious for straight-ticket voting.
2/ Dems flipped at least four seats in the Alabama State Legislature, with more still up in the air. That’s the first decline of that sort for the ALGOP in my lifetime.

Alabama Republicans’ gerrymandering scheme didn’t work. @repscfigures appears poised to return to Congress in AL-2, a district drawn for him to lose.
The most curious data point in this election cycle isn’t any poll, but that Fox News viewership is down 27% since this time a year ago, while CNN and MSNOW are up. Lachlan Murdoch blames it on “viewer fatigue.”

For the Alabama House Speaker to come out against Kay Ivey, Alabama’s billion-dollar (plus) prison must be going horribly wrong. If only someone had tried to warn them. 🧐
I think the world of Governor Ivey, but her administration’s handling of the construction of Alabama’s two new men’s prisons is flat out wrong.
Taxpayers deserve to understand what has transpired during the failed construction of the first facility before they are asked to foot the bill for a second.
