Welcome kits are now available via @warpdotgreen!
Base and Ethereum users can now effectively bridge assets to Chia without needing a pre-funded XCH wallet. The welcome kit covers the offer needed to complete bridging, and includes 0.00042 extra XCH to be sent to the user's wallet (can be spent as they see fit).
To be eligible for a welcome kit, a bridge transaction needs to meet the following criteria:
- Destination: Chia
- Assets and minimum amounts: 10 milliETH (0.01 ETH) or 42 USDC or 42 USDT or 0.1 XCH
- Receiver address on Chia has a balance < 0.01 XCH
Welcome kits are paid for by myself and subject to availability. If one is available, the UI will reflect it via a notification:
We have recently identified two suspicious transactions of 85,000 wUSDC.b and 8,000 wUSDC. Preliminary analysis suggests they are malicious.
We are coordonating with validators to pause the protocol. Updates will be posted on this account.
The fixes have now been merged. The protocol will be back online as soon as enough validators have adopted the update.

Today, we're releasing the post-mortem on the recent security incident, as well as a set of proposed fixes.

To allow for open review by the broader community, the fixes will be public for one week before proceeding to the next steps. We will also invite contributors who have already offered to help.
Once the fixes are confirmed and the review window closes, validators will update their software to the latest version. The protocol will be resumed shortly after a supermajority of validators has adopted the latest version of the code.
USDC has been sent to the ERC-20 bridge contracts to verifiably restore the backing of wUSDC and wUSDC.b. Protocol restart will follow later, as described in the next tweets.
We will continue posting updates on this account as we make progress towards re-launching the protocol. We expect the protocol to be fully resumed within the next 3 weeks, subject to the public review and validator adoption steps below.

We have entered an agreement with @chia_project. Thanks to their support, all users will be made whole.
Negotiations took longer than initially estimated. The terms and proposed fix remain the same as previously communicated.

To resume the protocol without requiring an on-chain migration, we currently plan to introduce additional validator-side checks. Going forward, validator support will be limited to explicitly supported applications.
