I think the problem is bigger than defi. And making money private. Use cases still aren’t being shown in tangible values. Until that comes, we are not of big use to the real world.

Completely agree. This seems like an unnecessary governance oversight
Additionally, governance gating listings means that new tokens will not be able to hit the main frontend for at least 8 days, which can harm Osmosis in the event that we need to compete for liquidity.

Why are cosmos chains still airdropping users of other chains at launch?
Launch the chain with 0 gas fees and delegate to the initial val set via foundation with no inflation. After a couple of months airdrop based on on-chain activity, liquidity, and to early dApps.
Arbitrum/Optimism/zkSync have proven that this method is much more successful in acquiring users/liquidity/builders.
Very surprising that new cosmos chains haven’t tried going down this route.
