Davis Mill Road over the Aycock Swamp is closed for repairs in the Fremont area. Drivers should use Black Creek Road, N.C. 211, Reid Town Road, and Turner Swamp Road as a detour. NCDOT has hired a contractor to demolish and rebuild the bridge. It is expected to open in February.
