Carmelita L. Weakley

Many Hands Make Light Work Special thanks to Fern Creek Christian Church and to Josh and his team for their incredible support of our School’s Blitz!

According to Mayor Greenberg, today is officially Tonya Arnold Day! We celebrate her retirement from her role as principal. We’re better because of you! @ArubagalinKY

Thank you, Justin Willis and CAP, for supplying clothing for our boys. They are looking sharp at the Men of Quality Life Choices Forum!

This week we celebrate FRYSC. As a Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) coordinator, my passion is to make a difference—one student, one parent, one family member, and one staff member at a time. Being a FRYSC isn't just my job—it's my calling. Love, Mrs. Weakley

Thank you, Bob Hook Chevrolet, for partnering with Fern Creek Elementary School for our food drive. Together we contributed 1,733 food items. Food will benefit the Fern Creek Highview United Ministries Dare To Care Food Pantry. @FernCreekElem_1 @Principal_FCES @GoffnerGwen

Thank you, Fern Creek Woman’s Club, for your generous donations of coats, gloves, and scarves. Your generosity means everything to Fern Creek Elementary School. Again, thank you. @Principal_FCES @GoffnerGwen @JCPSAsstSuptASP

@weakley_l When the assistant principal has a lightbulb moment, calls the other AP and the principal, and makes pancakes for the staff, you just know it's going to be a good day. Uhm uhm good indeed! 🥞@Principal_FCES @MrsTytus

A huge thanks to Fern Creek High School's JROTC students for coming to Fern Creek Elementary today to judge our classroom doors for "Red Ribbon Week." We say no to drugs! 🌟@Principal_FCES @GoffnerGwen @JCPSAsstSuptASP

This year, my focus is on building relationships. Today, I wheeled my mobile food cart to families in the car rider line. A big thank you to Fern Creek Woman’s Club for the canned goods. @Principal_FCES @GoffnerGwen @JCPSAsstSuptASP

We found out that one of our students will be leaving us. He’s been with us since kindergarten, he is now in the 5th grade. Today, we gave him our Tiger Comfort Bag.  It was filled with items that bring comfort - a teddy bear, a blanket, and a book.

Thank you Bob Hook Chevrolet for your donation. Your generosity means everything to Fern Creek Elementary School. We simply couldn't do what we do without amazing people like you. @Principal_FCES @JCPSAsstSuptASP @GoffnerGwen

Thank you, Bob Hook Chevrolet for adopting us as your neighborhood school and sponsoring our School Supply Drive. Deadline for school supplies is September 30th. Drop off supplies at the dealership, 4144 Bardstown Road. @Principal_FCES l

👏KUDOS to Fern Valley Chiropractic for providing free chair massages to our staff today. It was only for 10 minutes, but it made our day! @Principal_FCES @GoffnerGwen @JCPSAsstSuptASP

FRC Chat & Chew Out of 81 employees, I was able to chat & chew with 67 employees, as we built "Purposeful and Meaningful Relationships." Thank you Heine Bros Coffee and Sugar & Spice Donut who donated coffee and donuts to our staff. @Principal_FCES @GofnerGwen @JCPSAsstSuptASP

As we prepare for Fern Creek’s Open House, we were told to take our paper crayon and make it cute. What do you think 🤔? No one will ever ask me, “Now what is a FRYSC.” @GoffnerGwen @JCPSAsstSuptASP @Principal_FCES @MrsTytus
