I feel like this is very true like back in day it felt a lot less like you’d be killed if you took inspiration off of an artist you admired, I understand not wanting to see a billion clonez of something you worked very hard on but like art is just a perpetual cycle of inspiration

im not popular but ive had ppl at different points in my art journey tell me they're inspired by my stuff and i go straight to encouraging them cause thats apart of art--the community. theres a joy in exchanging with each other and i feel like ppl forget that a lot these days

Just cuz ur popular doesnt mean you've invented and own ur artstyle I don't understand how people can feel so negative when people are inspired by their work. I'm lowkey the happiest when people come up to me and ask if they can reference my ocs 🤷
