Getting the @core77 2026 Design Award last month was a major win. We were the only student team recognized in two tracks: Student Winner for the Interaction Design category, and Student Notable for the Speculative Design category.
Our project, nijimu, is a speculative memory-wellness tool for the quiet process of letting go, where memory can be sculpted and preserved like digital 3D artifacts. Huge shoutout to @_echozhou @maviscreate and @noyok1vasB for making this happen🤍

I drew this birdie 2 years ago, and it's been my portfolio mascot ever since!
Thought it'd be fun to show it in 3D.
Met with Morgan Light (prev COLLINS Design Director) on Tuesday for coffee. A few things that stuck with me:
→ As a junior designer, your job is to churn out ideas like a machine. Polishing or judging those ideas, that's the job for experienced designers on the team.
→ No matter the career aim, there's no need to master both print and digital design. Be a master of your own craft. Studios love throwing specialists into new areas for unexpected results.
We're working on a fully functional product for this(no longer a demo), perhaps a new set of visual language, and finding our site an official home. Stay tuned 👀
