As a member of the UEFA Environmental Steering Group, I want to share my thoughts on this one⬇️

1. The UEFA sustainability division does many good things with their very limited budget. The carbon calculator is one of the good initiatives.
2. The sustainability division in UEFA could do a lot more but is massively under-financed. Much more money must be allocated to reduce the football footprint and utilize the enormous impact football can have on the speed of the green shift.
3. The decision makers in the football organisations must prioritize environmental sustainability much higher in their decision making.
3. BBC is rightfully addressing the elephant in the room. The number of games organised by UEFA and the other international football organisation. Each new game produce new emissions. The carbon calculator does not compensate for these new emissions.
4. The football organisations must stop pointing at others when distributing responsibility. Everyone must step up and take ownership!
