The scene at Thane railway station yesterday was chaotic to say the least. With such a large workforce coming to Mumbai daily travelling from places far off in MMR like Kalyan, Dombivli, etc most have taken double & triple the regular time to reach back home.
While trains are the fastest mode of transport in this city, such days can be gruelling for everyone.

A 21-year-old youth, Sahil Tithe, lost his life while crossing the railway tracks between platform number 4 and platform number 3 to catch a train at Bhandup station.
The fatal accident occurred when Sahil was struck by an incoming AC local train. Central Railway authorities and local police have initiated an inquiry into the incident.

🚆 Train Update | Suburban Services
Due to a technical failure in the signalling system at Kanjurmarg station around 09:33 hrs, the issue was rectified at 19:35 hrs.
All six lines have been restored to normal working. However, due to train bunching, suburban services are running late. Suburban train operations are gradually returning to normal.
Inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.

This is our infra train runs 3 hr late. When signal wire is demaged.
Monday morning blues: A colleague was stuck in an AC train from 11.15 am-1.20 pm between Mulund-Nahur railway stations.
Two hours, almost. He said he saw many manually open the door using emergency button of AC and get down at Nahur and start walking on tracks to get to the road and get on a cab.
AC he said got chilling as many got off the train unlike when he started from Kalyan when the train was jam packed.
This was supposed to be a 10.02am Kalyan -CSMT which also came in 30 mins late.
So the train which should have ideally reached Dadar at 11 am reached only at 1.59 pm.
