There’s a story behind every one of these Reunion Species 1/1s. Back in 2022, before the Ape Reunion mint, we launched a community campaign that gave people the opportunity to help us grow our reach. Those who completed the objectives earned the chance to create a custom 1/1 NFT alongside our incredible artist, @RugDoctorApe. Many of those originals went on to sell for 6 ETH+ on the open market if they didn't get held to this day (4.5 years!). When Reunion Species launched, anyone who still held or had purchased one of those original 1/1s automatically received a brand new 1/1 in the new collection. It was our way of rewarding both the early Legends who helped us build from day one and the collectors who recognized the value of owning one of these unique pieces. But we decided that wasn't enough. We also inducted a handful of legendary community members who stood by Ape Reunion through every high and low. Regardless of what was in their wallet, we believed they had earned one of the most prestigious assets in the ecosystem. Each recipient was invited to share their own vision, giving @RugDoctorApe the opportunity to bring a character to life that truly represented them. That’s the story behind these incredible pixel art pieces. And the best part? They’re not just collectibles. They’re intended to become playable characters in the world of Reunion.

Guilty as charged. 4.5 years later, we’re still building. Progress hasn’t always moved at the pace we’d like, but it has never stopped. Behind the scenes, Reunion has gone through countless iterations, live community playtests, and years of development toward a vision we’ve believed in from day one: a true MMORPG built around our NFTs. The job isn’t finished. We know that. But through every challenge, every setback, and every season, we’ve kept shipping, improving, and moving the project forward. We’re still here.
