Meet @JohnMalkia, a 2026 WIC Global Youth Leader. She is executive director of Sauti Salama, a digital social impact platform. Specializing in tech empowerment, digital safety and AI for good, she is an ITU Gender Champion, and World Summit Awards (WSA) Youth Ambassador. Her survivor-centered AI platform won the 2025 WSA Young Innovators Award. Her team has assisted 368 gender-based violence survivors, trained 700+ practitioners and empowered over 1,000 students across Africa.

Nuwoe Kellen, chief of staff and principal budget analyst at the Liberian Legislature, has been selected as a 2026 World Internet Conference Global Youth Leader. Alongside his work in fiscal governance, he promotes AI literacy and digital inclusion, with a particular focus on educators. @bong_district3

Meet Shirley Jesaira Santana Herrera, a 2026 WIC Global Youth Leader. She is an economist and edtech social entrepreneur and also the founder and CEO of the Excelsior Academy. She strives to bridge the digital divide and tackle educational inequality across Latin America and the Caribbean — with her innovative programs reaching thousands of young people.

Meet Ignacio Araya, a 2026 WIC Global Youth Leader from Chile. As director of the CityDiplomacy think tank, he focuses on China-Latin America relations, digital governance and cybersecurity. He teaches at the University of Chile. @ignacioarayah

Meet Hassan Al-Shama, a 2026 WIC Global Youth Leader from Iraq. He is the founder and CEO of SupraOS, which develops and deploys autonomous AI agents, and co-founder and CEO of Hylman, a global consulting group now operating in 16 countries. Meet Marco Mendieta, a 2026 WIC Global Youth Leader from Ecuador. As founder and president of the Misión Ecuador Foundation, he works to expand opportunities through education, entrepreneurship and digital inclusion, helping secure over 1,400 full scholarships since 2017.
