Dave, 850,000 on USA isn’t the entire television audience. CNBC carried the game too, and USA Sports reported roughly 1.4M across USA, CNBC and Peacock, using Nielsen for television and Adobe for streaming. Where’s your source for the exact 290,000, why leave CNBC out of the comparison? Tf bro. And if this is supposed to settle the Max discussion, explain how that breakdown establishes what WBD includes in AEW’s Nielsen figure. You gave numbers for a different broadcast on a different platform. You still haven’t demonstrated the connection. Tf lol.
FWIW, last Monday's WNBA playoff game saw the streaming number do 290,000 and USA Network number at 850,000.

Yesterday I said that Greg Bedard posted the dumbest tweet of the entire 2026 calendar year. In just 24 hours, he managed to top it.
Replying to @TheDonPatsGodFr
I stand by it, and said it at the time. Sorry you don't like facts. He also almost got Henry killed, along with others

Why is it only the Dirt Sheets that are continuing to push this? The show isn't get cancelled. No talent is being forced to go. Those that are will be paid handsomely. Like it or not, that's the truth
The latest travel warning with WWE Crown Jewel less than a week away: "Saudi Arabia: Iranian-supported Houthis have engaged in hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including attacks on civilian airports and other critical infrastructure resulting in civilian casualties and severe travel disruptions. The hostilities have the potential to escalate rapidly beyond that immediate area. U.S. citizens should be aware of potential attacks on airports, airspace closures, flight cancellations, and travel disruptions. Please take extreme caution if you choose to use airports in Saudi Arabia. We recommend checking your flight departure status directly with the airline and with the airport."

The language here is slightly better than last update. Jack Campbell obviously suffered a severe injury and it shouldn’t be taken lightly at all.
Jack Campbell continues to rest and recover at a local hospital. Preliminary indications are positive and out of respect for Jack and his family we will not share further information at this time.

Paul Walter Hauser exits MLW over “creative differences.” My take? Good riddance. Leave the business. His farewell reads like a self-important acceptance speech nobody asked for.

This is potentially interesting. If WBD’s been including Max viewing in reported sports audiences both before and after Nielsen’s move to Big Data + Panel, why would you automatically assume it’s excluded from the reported audiences for other sports and live simulcasts? I can’t believe I never really looked at this before, because the precedent’s sitting right there. Look at the chronology. October 2023. Jon Lewis at @paulsen_smw reported 5.34M viewers attributed to TBS and 454,000 to truTV for Braves–Phillies Game 4 on October 12, approximately 5.8M combined. His article explicitly says: “Viewership via the Max streaming service is included in the Nielsen figures.” Those published network figures already included Max viewing in the Nielsen audience being described. Just because TBS is next to a number doesn’t mean everybody represented in it watched through a cable subscription. Then, on October 25, 2023, WBD announced 9.1M viewers for Diamondbacks–Phillies NLCS Game 7 across TBS, truTV and Max. Its own methodology note says: “Nielsen Live + SD data through StarTrak (includes Max connected device data).” @TNTSportsPR, that’s the company’s own language, in its own fucking pressroom. Max connected-device viewing was explicitly included in the Nielsen component of that announcement. September 2025. Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel became the standard for its ratings press claims, combining the traditional household panel with data from millions of smart TVs and set-top boxes. The measurement changed, but WBD had already documented including Max connected-device viewing nearly 2 years earlier. October 2026. Lewis addressed the question again beneath his baseball coverage. Asked whether the reported TBS audiences included truTV and HBO Max, alongside a similar question about NBC, he answered: “Yes and yes, but the HBO Max figures are only for connected devices (no mobile).” For those figures, connected-device viewing was included and mobile wasn’t. So we have documented inclusion in 2023, a major Nielsen methodology change in 2025, and another explicit explanation of inclusion in 2026. That doesn’t establish how every other broadcast is measured. It establishes why you need to check before declaring that a published network audience excludes streaming. Big Data + Panel doesn’t automatically include every app, and a TBS or TNT label doesn’t automatically mean streaming is excluded. If those streaming viewers are already counted, adding them again is double-counting. Calling it analysis doesn’t fix the math. Read the fucking footnote. Yes, I’m aware @wrestlenomics has reported exclusions for particular Max simulcasts. I think they’re great at Freedom of Information Act requests, pulling public records, that kind of shit. But I don’t trust their entertainment industry reporting whatsoever, I don’t trust their analysis. Being good at obtaining documents doesn’t automatically make your interpretation of the business authoritative. WBD’s original release, with the methodology note at the bottom: press.wbd.com/ca/media-relea…
