So public transportation networks that Lula supporters would use to vote were shut down, the polling stations, therefore, have been kept open longer - and because of this, the right are claiming rigged election????
i’m surprised lula even got into triple figures
Flávio Bolsonaro venceu o 2º turno em Israel com 80,81% (699) dos votos válidos contra 19,19% (166) de Lula.
1º turno:
• Flávio - 523 votos (74,3%)
• Lula - 92 votos (13,1%) #Eleições2026
It will be SV. Burnham has already spoken fondly of the 2 preference system. AV already has been voted down (albeit in 2011), but because of this he will have an easier time gaining legitimacy for SV + it’s already used for mayors
Just hope we don’t bother with another quango to come to this inevitable answer
EXC: Labour divided over Andy Burnham’s plan for electoral reform
Cabinet figures including Louise Haigh, Angela Rayner and John Healey sceptical of reform
Several Labour MPs tell me they do not support a proportional voting system
One MP says the prospect of relying on the Greens to govern makes them ‘physically sick’

US midterms prediction...
Senate (left picture): GOP HOLD CONTROL (Dem net +3)
Control comes down to Texas, Michigan, Ohio, and Alaska. Despite everything, Blexas is something I will only believe when I see, so fully preparing to have my heart broken.
Do not underestimate Susan Collins' capacity to hold on to power no matter what - the only other US politician I can think of who even rivals her strength in this is Lisa Murkowski. I see her winning by 3-5%. Predict similar margins in Iowa and Kansas, around 5%.
Ossoff will hold by around 10%, expect similar numbers for Cooper in North Carolina (dem gain).
Governors (right picture): Dems gain Alaska, Ohio, and Iowa. GOP gain Kansas. Georgia and Nevada GOP holds on a knife's edge. Expecting Katie Hobbs to hold on in Arizona by around 50k.
House: DEM GAIN CONTROL
Conventional wisdom that the House will flip this year. I don't expect the Democratic gains to be anything like 2018 levels, though. Predicting a majority with 220-230 seats.
189 billion pesos. that’s the equivalent of £94 million btw
