It is so much fun to step outside our familiar boxes and learn about different systems.
Alberta is known worldwide for its dry beans, the quality our farms produce is top-tier.
Bean farmers contend with a set of management strategies and equipment unique to other pulse crops.

Honored to host the federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Heath MacDonald (@CornwallHeath ), at our farm today! Great discussing the future of Canadian agriculture and farming practices with him and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (@AAFC_Canada ). 🌾🚜 #CdnAg #FarmVisit

Muller Ventures is a great example of the strength and diversity of Southern Alberta agriculture. This multi-generational family farm in Bow Island grows a wide range of crops, including sugar beets, pulses, canola and wheat. It was great to tour their facilities and discuss the important work being done by producer-led organizations across Alberta.

If you seen a wall of canola in the air the other night, it was mine. My bad #sorry

Couldn’t find a nice metric threaded banjo style fitting, so I had a friend just design and make one from scratch last night. This is how I spend my Saturday nights now, and I’m not even mad.
Switching over to sugarbeets today. After a week of heat and now relentless wind, #Plant26 is already keeping us on our toes, snow in the forecast for the weekend. Typical spring. 💨🌡️❄️ #agtwitter #sugarbeets #farming

We're working to remove regulatory barriers and accelerate ag-tech advancements. By this summer, new Health Canada rules would allow approved pesticides to be applied by drone. This step forward is supporting on-farm innovation while making day-to-day operations more efficient.
How much photo editing is too much? 😅 Two cover crops in and 2 dryland quarters in so far. Snow is forecasted and I hope it happens, super dry out!
