Let me get this straight. Football fans have spent years mocking Mbappé by calling him a dictator, and everyone found it hilarious. But the moment he admits that he laughs at the jokes too, suddenly he becomes the villain and deserves to be cancelled? So it is acceptable to mock someone for years, but the moment they show that they are in on the joke, they become the problem?
What an extraordinary display of hypocrisy.

This video of his arrest has finally cleared the air on the claims that the video was doctored. I had openly condemned the act yesterday already. Then this morning when I woke up, I was told the initial video I condemned was doctored. That shilly-shallying caused a lot of unnecessary confusion.
Our people need to do better. A Muslim should never be part of those who will use falsehood to defend themselves. Those who started parroting that the video was doctored should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.
Call out evil wherever you find it. The only painful thing for me is because I didn’t understand what he was saying, I had to rely on some of you. Yet, you failed at doing your due diligence. The video wasn’t doctored. This is the fact. This was exactly why I insisted on forensic evidence.
I thought I could trust some of you. Unfortunately, you threw me under the bus, and now, these people will feast on me.
Islam is very clear on the evil he has done. Don’t ever think of supporting Islam by using falsehood to cover up madness. If it was under Islamic law, what he is doing falls under Fasad fil-ard (spreading mischief on earth).
The Quranic punishment for those who wage armed rebellion and seek to shed innocent blood is death, crucifixion, the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile. That is how much Islam detests terrorism.
I am very happy he has been picked up by the police. And importantly, I want you all to note something. It was the leadership of JIBWIS itself that handed him over to the police. It tells you he acted entirely on his own.
I know some of you were in defense mode, which I understand, but never be part of those who support nonsense. We are known for the truth and we will always say it any day, anytime, even when it is very inconvenient.

They'll come for you, but you're not wrong
The intelligence gap was really too much.
You, the olodo, who couldn't explain a concept he claims to know, and her who was willing and open to learning something new

In contrast, if I may, we found our own voice. The video you watched was taken when we had very close colonial contact. So, we mimicked the English pronunciation, enunciation and diction.
What we have now, when you hear a Nigerian accent, is usually finally breaking through the language. We found our own voice. The Ghanaian accent is distinct for this same reason.
We now have the Nigerian English, it is not adulterated, it has adapted, quite usually, as other non- English speakers.
PS: this is a personal opinion.

We really are poor people, and it’s not even about money
We are poor in conscience. Poor in morals. Poor in honor.
The country cannot change if the masses don’t change. Period!

All throughout my MSc studies in the UK 🇬🇧,
I did three 24 hours exams and we were allowed to use Google but you must reference them and NOT copy word for word.
I did another 3 hours exam and we were allowed to use Google as well.
But they were logical and practical questions so google can’t give you direct answers.
Studying abroad is easy ooo.

Bro It’s been mind blowing interacting with Nigerian twitter.
Number 1 so many right wing capitalists in a country has tons of billionaires presiding over companies that don’t fix their electric grids.
Number 2 Nigerian accts with Israeli flags.
That’s a trip.

The students in Serbia protested for months.
In Nigeria, we need to do much more than that to uproot the chains of corruption tying down our country. We can do it.
Celebrations have erupted across Serbia after a student-backed movement ousted President Aleksandar Vucic’s ruling party in snap parliamentary elections, ending his long grip on power.

On this Kane Ballon d’Or, I have something to say that reflect my point when I talk about football and life. Look at Kane, he’s 33, look at the players around his age Neymar, Pogba, Dybala, Lukaku, amount others. Compare their Journey with Harry Kane. Can you see where I am going?? That’s life. 10 years ago, you won’t actually think Harry Kane will be a ballon d’or winner and Neymar highest finish will be third. Look at his career, till age 30. It’s always about the things he couldn’t win. But today he’s won the highest award in football. That’s also how life is, the journey might be long, might take another route different to others but doesn’t mean you’re late. There’s no late comer for success. Benzema played the most games before winning ballon d’or, Kane has played the second most games, yet it’s not a stat people remember.
And that’s the thing about life, you can spend so much time looking at people around you and wondering why things are not happening for you at the same pace. You see people your age achieving things you are still praying for, people you started with moving ahead of you, and sometimes you begin to question whether you are doing something wrong. But Kane’s story is a reminder that everybody has their own journey. You can be good at what you do, put in the work for years and still have to wait longer than you expected before everything finally comes together.
Imagine if Kane had allowed the things he couldn’t achieve at Tottenham to define his entire career. Imagine if he had started believing that the opportunity to win the biggest trophies had passed him by. Today, we probably wouldn’t be having this conversation the way we are having it. He kept showing up, kept scoring goals, kept improving, and when the opportunity came to take a different route, he took it.
Sometimes, the problem is that we judge our lives based on where we think we should be by a certain age. At 25, you think you should have achieved this. At 30, you think you should have figured everything out. And when life doesn’t happen according to that timeline, you start feeling like you are behind. But behind who? Who decided that everybody must achieve their dreams at the same age?
Kane is 33, and he has just reached a height many people thought he would never reach. That should tell you something. Your story is not finished simply because you haven’t achieved what you wanted to achieve by now. You haven’t failed simply because somebody else got there before you. And you are not late just because your journey is taking longer than you imagined.
Keep working. Keep showing up. Keep becoming better at what you do. You don’t know how your story will end, and you don’t need to have everything figured out today. Sometimes, all you need to do is keep going long enough to see what your life can become.
Harry Kane’s journey is a reminder that you should never be in a hurry to write yourself off. The chapter you are currently in is not necessarily the conclusion of your story.

The greatest privilege is not always having a lot of money. Sometimes it is living in a society where you don't need a lot of money to access basic dignity, where institutions work, and where your future isn't constantly threatened by problems beyond your control.

one of the most humiliating things about corporate life is watching a grown man get scolded like a child in front of his coworkers. we’re all adults trying to make a living. you can correct someone’s mistakes without stripping them of their dignity.

NELFUND btw, you people swore our unis would be better if we pay more and used that to justify the introduction of NELFUND
everything i experienced and complained about as a student, my people in uni now experienced worse.
basically, they paid more to get less quality 😂
landlord increased your rent from 10k to 100k
But you can’t afford it, so your landlord helped you to facilitate a loan from his loan company so you can pay him rent.
Instead of fighting the landlord for increasing rent in the first place, you’re celebrating he was a good person to give you loan.
That is nelfund for you.
