Greatness is not born. It’s is built through hard work and dedication. Build yourself up in every aspect of life: mentally, emotionally, and physically. These aspects of life are all equally important and must be tended to everyday. What will you build? #winthementalgame
We must be willing to let go of our setbacks. However, we cannot forget them, but we have to take the opportunity to learn from them. These setbacks and mistakes do not define us as long as we have a growth mindset. You will live a prosperous life if you continue learning.
Do not back down from a challenge because of the difficulty level. In order for us to become better, we must overcome a more difficult opponent than our previous one. 💡 The greater the challenge, the bigger the opportunity 💡 #winthementalgame

There will always be external factors trying to influence us. As athletes, we must be disciplined. Play your game Practice positive self-talk Do not allow the external noise to affect you Remember, you are in the driver’s seat. Put on the blinders and control your destiny.
Gardner Minshew put on a football clinic this Sunday against the NY Jets. Minshew stayed ready and prepared everyday as if he was the starter. He bet on himself and he was right! It was next man up when Hurts went down with an ankle injury and Minshew was ready and DOMINATED!

As we look to close out the year of 2021, take this last month to reflect. Do not allow the past failures to define you. Rather, take those failures as lessons on how to become better for this upcoming year. Start that process NOW! Adapt and overcome the past and be better!
Too many times in our lives we quit just as the ball starts rolling. We must stay persistent in our efforts to become better versions of ourselves. Remember, we are just getting started and there’s plenty more mountains for us to climb. Success is just around the bend.
What are you grateful for? Gratitude is a large part of this upcoming holiday season. It is also a large part of what The Athlete’s Edge Daily Journal can do for athletes. Remember, the negatives will only hinder your attitude and performance. #winthementalgame
Failure is a natural part of life. When you fall down, you do not stay down. You pick yourself up and you keep going. Just as failure can occur in any aspect of life, so can extraordinary achievement. Do not fail. Do not give up. Dig deep and be persistent! #winthementalgame
It is the difficult things in life that create positive changes from within. Whether it is dealing with injury, dirty players, or missed calls. We must overcome and adapt. The best look at change as a positive📈 How can you change for the better? #winthementalgame
How healthy is your personal environment? You must stay focused on your path and surround yourself with things that add value. This healthy environment feeds upon itself to grow and multiply. Remember, don’t let naysayers bring you down! #winthementalgame
How will you shape your world? We are the masters of our own destiny. Control the controllables and adapt to the uncomfortable. Just like clay, you are able to shape your world to your vision. Remember, small actions can have a massive impact. #winthementalgame
No risk yields no rewards. This is not to say to take every risk but instead to take calculated risks that allow for greatness to grow. Trust your gut. Jump that route, take that long shot. In order to become great you must do what most won’t. #winthementalgame
Discipline is a key part of an athletes life. You must cultivate this element into your lifestyle and into your mind. Discipline is the backbone to our mind. Without this we will break when facing adversity. How will you get more discipline into your life? #winthementalgame
We often put things off as much as we can. Procrastination is the root of evil. This is a very bad habit to allow yourself to fall into. Always be proactive. Remember, a little progress is better than none 🏃‍♂️ Stay focused on the goal at hand and get STARTED! #winthementalgame
Sometimes you have to be a Tiger to fight back from injury. Through diligence in physical therapy and working hard everyday, Tiger is now active on the golf course just 9 months after that horrific car crash. Don’t ever give up. You only need one person to believe in you 👀
Learning is the most powerful tool. It is a tool that lasts a lifetime. Our bodies may get injured and sideline us. However, we can take that time to become better mentally. Keep the brain going. Learn from past mistakes, watch film, and KEEP GETTING BETTER! #winthementalgame
