A German editorial asked: "From what age can a child cycle to school?" To which the Dutch reply: "It is possible at all ages!"
What all children need are places to practice and streets and intersections where they can ride without endangering their life.

One of hundreds of kids I saw biking themselves to school over a couple days in Joensuu, Finland but this dude is among the coolest. DEFINITELY cooler than me and probably cooler than you..
..so maybe let’s give all kids everywhere more respect & build our cities for them too.

When someone says they can't cycle because of the local weather, remember safe, comfortable streets have more impact on one's ability to cycle than if it's too cold, wet, snowy, hot, humid.... The ride to school in Joensuu, FI care of @torrinswanson_ nitter.gq/torrinswanson_/status/…

I'm often told I'm brave for riding a bike in cold weather. I feel the same way about motorists. I'm not brave enough to sit in a freezing cold car holding a cold steering wheel and being stuck in traffic that crawls along due to the icy conditions. @BikeWinnipeg @WinnipegTrails – at Winnipeg, Manitoba

While sales of e-bikes in the Netherlands are already booming, new tax laws effective January 1 mean employees can lease one for €7 per month, while claiming €0.19 per kilometre ridden.
The scheme is expected to put an extra 150,000 on the road in 2020. ebiketips.road.cc/content/ne…
