Final day of digging at Prior Park as part of #festivalofarchaeology
Mostly spent tidying up ready for the trenches to be left open for visitors until August.
Some final shots from inside a culvert and the view up from where they end up

I missed day 4 of digging at Prior Park done as part of #festivalofarchaeology
But we’ve uncovered a previously unknown route of culvert plus trying to establish the extent of the cascade.
Last day of digging today.

Third day of digging at Prior Park done as part of #festivalofarchaeology
More cleaning up of the dam wall.
Also a video inside the culvert looking under the dam wall.

Second day of digging at Prior Park done as part of #festivalofarchaeology
The question is which wall came first? Answers on a postcard please.
Also a view inside the culvert.

Why does @skytv @SkyHelpTeam illegally discriminate against disabled people when it comes to trying to reduce your sky bill, and then ignore your complaint about it. They’re very happy to allow you to add costs to your bill but won’t let you reduce it. @DisRightsUK @EASShelpline
It’s always nice to find old things still doing their original purpose. Here @NTinBath with @BACAS_Online as per of the #FestivalOfArchaeology. The conduit down the middle of Prior Park Gardens.
Since I’m on a dig on @AskAnArchDay any thoughts about this confusing site. #askanarchaeologist
What are the odds of @bathnes doing their traffic counting when the A36 is closed for 6 months and then claiming that vehicle numbers have dropped and associating it to the CAZ. somersetlive.co.uk/news/some…
The babies have become rowdy teenagers stretching their legs and wings and making lots of noise to be fed. @UniofBath this is 3 of the 7 chicks hatched on the roof from 3 sets of parents.
3 babies enjoying breakfast @UniofBath this morning. 3 others on another roof and 2 other eats waiting to hatch. @UniofBathStaff
Took the drone over to the @BACAS_Online dig this evening to get some photos of the extended trenches. Still no closer to working out what all the old walls are. #aerialarchaeology #medieval
Again @sainsburys in Odd Down has shortage of milk, on speaking to an employee she said it was because they’re not getting the deliveries they ask for. Sort it out sainsburys, just cos you have a monopoly here doesn’t mean you can treat us like crap.
Yet again @sainsburys in Odd Down proving to be a complete waste of space of a store. Empty shelves galore, went in for 10 everyday staples, could only get 4 of them. You really need to sort this rubbish out.
Evening of archaeology on TV, 2 hours of Oak island, an hour of metal detecting on treasure hunt, followed by #DiggingForBritain
