qualitative research isn't less believable, it just answers different question. interviews & observations ARE real data, and qual has its own rigor checks (saturation, member checking, etc). stats tell you how many, qual tells you why. that's why mixed methods exist.

Aeta communities and farmers in Capas are already saying they're being pushed off land they've lived on for generations. have these concerns addressed? have the government already provided clear actions to be taken should this proceed?

we've heard jobs and investments before. they always come like a guest in your house and leave you nothing but dishes... the 1600 hectare land, the water, the power bill, the PEOPLE who are indigenous there.
trump is going to the ph, and it might get tackled when he comes for the ASEAN summit this november, which is also around when it's expected to be signed since the 'allegiance' last april.. that's a lot of rush for something nobody can explain in plain words.

luzon went on red alert in may over a ~100 MW shortfall. the pax silica hub alone is projected to need 3GW, or 3,000 MW. that's 30x the gap that almost gave us brownouts, and around a fifth of all of luzon's peak demand.
