Govt partnerships with the hospitality sector to get young people into work is hugely welcome. Whilst most employers have brilliant records on keeping staff safe & treating them with respect reports of bullying and harassment in a select few should not go overlooked. 1/2

These figures are shocking. 72% of ground staff and 71% of cabin crew report verbal abuse at least every month. Even more alarming, 31% of ground staff and 42% of cabin crew say they have experienced physical assault. No worker should face abuse simply for doing their job. 1/2

"For some victims, sexual harassment ensures that they cant work in that sector. It doesn't just destroy livelihoods, it destroys lives"
Thank you, @johnmcdonnellMP for setting out the next steps for how we get to proper protections from sexual harassment, where unions and politicians work together on this vital issue

Today marks the anniversary of Suzy Lamplugh's disappearance. Had proper risk assessments been in place, the tragedy might have been avoided. Forty years on, protections for workers are still not fit for purpose. If you've been sexually harassed at work, sign the petition below.
