No one should blame their level of success on race or etc. anyone can be successful regardless of who they are, but we can’t completely ignore that there are LOTS of obstacles, ESPECIALLY in this space for creators of color. And before THAT CROWD finds their way to this post, I’ll say that most of us don’t even make our content about “being black” The thing that leads up to this conversation most of the time is when we speak up about our negative experiences, whether it be with chatters, hate raids, or ppl who downplay us BECAUSE of our race, only for us to receive backlash for even mentioning anything about it. Which only ends up validating the way that some feel when it comes to talking about trying to be successful within this space. The vast majority of this space does not know what it feels like to have people who will ACTIVELY target your post, videos and streams just to harass or talk shit about you primarily over your skin tone and not the content of your character, but at the end of the day, it is what it is. ANYWAYS, while the delivery of what he said, wasn’t 100% there…I get it.
