My JMP addresses a long-standing question in climate economics about the impact of climate change on physical capital (e.g., machinery, buildings).
I examine the impact of flooding on manufacturing firms’ capital and productivity. Do flooded firms/regions build back better? Or do their losses instead weaken their growth and aggregate productivity?
