This was definitely a gang-related shooting a few weeks ago on the other side of the Bronx in Westchester Square. This is a complete different neighborhood. Detectives have been on this case. It’s upsetting and disgusting this young lady was innocent with her family in the local park. She’s back home with her family.
This did not happen in Claremont. Just horrible and sad and a painful reminder of the volume of illegal guns still on our streets. The work must continue!
Another 12 yr old girl has been shot in the Bronx, the same neighbourhood where Javits Frimpong was shot. Police suspect a gang related shootout. Thankfully, she is in stable condition, but two gunmen remain on the run.
What the actual fuck is going on? How many more innocent children must become victims before those in power wake up?
We keep talking about the future, yet we are failing to protect the very children who are supposed to inherit it. Where is the leadership? Where is the accountability? Who is protecting these kids?
This is absolutely unacceptable. A 12-year-old should never have to experience this.
