More progress on the Lancaster - some oil/exhaust/weathering and the first coat of varnish applied. Disaster nearly struck when the paint frame stuck to the wings, and took away a chunk of paint from each wing, but I’ve managed to fill the holes and touch up the paintwork.

A fantastic day out with friends @PHDockyard, today. The Mary Rose was brilliant, HMS Victory undergoing a huge amount of refurbishment/preservation and I’m not sure I want a ships biscuit! We ran out of time to visit HMS Warrior, but we’ll be back!

An unexpected visitor in my garden this morning. I think it’s the second time a heron has dropped in. Last time the ducks made one hell of a racket!

An excellent Friday night at the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry Officers Dinner, (even broke out my Prince of Wales tartan trews!). I sense that tomorrow might be a struggle…

Someone think of the wine!!
Forget about oil. There are only a small handful of tankers in the world that transport wine, and WINE TRADER (8808707) can carry 6.32 million liters, which is 8.4 million bottles.

A trip to the big smoke today for the Cavalry Lunch Club (CLC) - great food, lovely people and a fascinating talk. And I got my CLC tie! Love the colours!
