This is such biased, bullshit reporting. Seems that these journalists only see what they want to see--and they openly lie. I was in India also and understood why two-thirds of Americans have little or no confidence in the mass media. Here is what I wrote: hindustantimes.com/opinion/t…
I spent a week in Delhi, watching an extraordinary protest movement unfold. Here's what I saw, and what I think it means for India, and the world. nytimes.com/2026/10/26/opini…

Replying to @nfergus @DalrympleWill
William Dalrymple has recently shown himself to be a giant of moral integrity and intellectual courage—unlike the many weaker intellects who shill for a (dying) establishment.

PSA: in light of recent cyberattacks and vulnerabilities, I recommend everyone:
* use a good password manager (1Password) and do not duplicate passwords
* use two factor auth for everything important (not via sms!! Google Authenticator or better yet YubiKey)
* Auto-updates on, and restart weekly so they actually install
* Freeze your credit
* Get an IRS Identity Protection PIN
* Get your cell carrier to give you a port-out PIN or number lock that makes the carrier refuse to move your number without the PIN
You can ask your claude code to audit what on your laptop is out of date and needs updating.
To the coffee curious, Bello coffee in Glen Park has fantastic light roast. You also get a complimentary drink with the purchase.
I think fake meat is great. As a vegetarian, I can say that to me it's the best of both worlds. It's protein rich and satisfies the desire for meat.
TIL you can setup a cloudflare dev worker that hosts a tiny notebook app to publish posts on my site. It’s incredible. All thanks to codex. It’s like my personal twitter.

Hilarious. I tweeted that Delhi seemed fine and Indian intellectuals in the US attacked me for being a “Modi bhakt” Now I say I’m enjoying a tourist train ride and suddenly I’m in the RSS. People who left the country and the extreme Indian left need to get a life. :)
Replying to @wadhwa
Wadhwa has become a toady for the present Indian government, a standard way to get business/ favors in India. He is going over board, have started pimping for the BJP/ RSS thugs. He doesn’t know there is oversupply of cheap tech bros in India now and he is of no use to them!

Our first “Indian Question”-inspired would-be terrorist?
BREAKING: Mass Shooting Plot Targeting Sri Venkateswara Temple in Aurora, Illinois, Foiled
A 19-year-old suspected white supremacist, Alexandros Paporakis, has been arrested for allegedly plotting a mass shooting at a Hindu place of worship in Aurora, Illinois.
Investigators say the suspect had been planning the attack for two years and allegedly targeted Indians and South Asians.
Police recovered an AR-style rifle, ammunition and tactical gear.
A potentially devastating hate-driven attack may have been prevented.
Paporakis worked as a cashier at a Taco Bell in Arlington Heights for nearly seven months.
According to a co-worker who spoke to investigators, Paporakis regularly made racist remarks, particularly targeting Indians. He openly identified himself as a white supremacist and frequently spoke about Nazis and armed struggle.

I’m sure he would’ve founded a billion dollar company if Indians hadn’t taken all the jobs.

Who could have predicted that anti-Indian hate would turn violent??
Who could have seen this coming???
#BREAKING: Potential Mass Shooting Plot Thwarted in Aurora, Illinois.
Authorities say a 19-year-old allegedly plotted a mass shooting targeting a Hindu place of worship. Police reportedly recovered a rifle, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, body armor and a manifesto expressing white supremacist extremism and hostility toward people of Indian descent.
This comes during Navaratri when thousands of Hindus gather for Garba and also just two weeks after a Hindu temple in Ohio was attacked.
We commend law enforcement for swift action. We also urge the community to stay vigilant and Report any potential threat. Every community deserves to worship without fear.

Our teams @Google + @BIDMC_Medicine publish world's first prospective study of a patient-facing conversational diagnostic intelligence @TheLancet - Go #AMIE team!!! blog.google/innovation-and-a…
Today @TheLancet published our AMIE study with @BIDMC_Medicine, the first prospective study of patient-facing conversational diagnostics in a real clinic.
AMIE is a research system people can chat with before doctors appointments. Testing AMIE outside the lab with real urgent care patients showed how technology can help gather medical histories safely. Clinicians reported that the summaries helped them prepare for visits in 75% of cases and influenced their approach to care in more than half. AMIE’s differential diagnoses also matched the doctors’ final diagnoses 90% of the time giving clinicians more time to focus on patient care.
It’s Google’s first-ever paper in The Lancet’s main journal!

It’s actually a good thing that technological progress isn’t put up for a vote or most people would probably still be subsistence farmers.
Weird tech guys are busy building technology that will likely put millions of people out of work and upend our lives in unprecedented ways — a change that nobody voted for, and few of us want or will benefit from — and somehow so many people on the Right have chosen the “this is fine, let’s allow the tech guys who hate us to do whatever the hell they want and transform society in whatever way they prefer while they become trillionaires and everyone else loses everything” side of the debate. Perhaps the most extraordinarily stupid political miscalculation of all time. We’re supposed to be the ones who actually value human life and the human experience.
