The short answer is they don't want to pay what it costs or cede the power required to hire those types of people

So I guess the questions is WHY THE FUCK ARE THE COWBOYS HIRING COACHES WITH ZERO SUCCESS WHEN THEY COULD HAVE HAD GUYS LIKE VRABEL OR PAYTON???
He’s basically admitting that he still feels badly about a correct/successful decision he made over a decade ago and those feelings loom over the present tense. He’s choosing his feelings over the team. LOLOL the Cowboys stay the Cowboys.

I followed that up with why, historically, Jerry Jones has been opposed to a coaching change mid season and given the young staff whether that was an even an option for him.
“I made a change and I don't want to mention it because I'm not proud of it. But I made a change with Wade Phillips there in the middle of the season, and I don't see that here.”

Mike McCarthy's Steelers are 6-2
Matthew Eberflus' Niners are 6-1
Micah Parson's Packers are 5-3
Demarcus Lawrence won a Super Bowl last season and his Seahawks are 4-3
Kellen Moore won a Super Bowl in Philly in 2024
Maybe, just maybe, it's the GM Owner and Franchise operating in general why Dallas continues to fall short... not the good players and coaches we continue to blame and force out the building

"Let's give the ball to Luepke and make sure we get out of this with at least a field goal," says the play caller whose offense has been gashing the opponent, and who employs an 11th year vet at QB.

holding the ball forever until the Cowboys secondary commits a penalty is a legitimate strategy
He’s so good at this. It’s an unimpeachable argument.
So @getnickwright and I disagree on the Mahomes/ Allen debate so I gave him the floor. He went DEEP on TIF.
“It's not Josh Allen criticism, it's media criticism. I think the media's just decided he plays by a different set of rules than any athlete in the history of my life."

“Fuck this team, they’re trash, I can’t wait for this hell season to be over”
Me one second after the last out:
1. He turned down multiple extensions offers.
2. He only came back in ‘25 because his market didn’t materialize that offseason.
It takes two to tango and everything Pete ever did on the business side was predicated on getting that bag. Which he did. So congrats to him.
It still makes no sense that the Mets lost Pete Alonso, an everyday force they cannot replace
