Daniel Jones, who is accused of killing his father and stepmother in Ohio, was arrested in connection with the Oct. 28 k*llings. He refused to cooperate in court and previously had an Oregon conviction for taking upskirt photos of an underage girl.
His father, Pipo Nguyen-Duy, was an Oberlin professor. Jones identifies as nonbinary and goes by “Asia.
Investigators say he told them he was trying to escape a “cult.”

This case is not over.
On October 26, 2022, police left Richard Allen alone in an interrogation room with his wife. They had just told him a bullet from his gun was found where two girls were murdered. He hugged her: "It's all right, babe."
Libby German and Abby Williams were best friends. In 2017 they were found dead off a hiking trail by an abandoned railway bridge in Delphi, Indiana. Before they died, one of them filmed a man on the bridge and recorded his voice: "Down the hill."
In the video below, Allen tells his wife: "I didn't murder anybody. I didn't help somebody murder anybody."
She asks if he was on the bridge. "I told them I was on the bridge." She says: "I don't remember you telling me that."
Then: "How did a bullet from your gun get out there?" He says there are two explanations: either the bullet didn't come from his gun, or it didn't come from a murder scene. She tells him: "It did, though, honey. They've got ballistics on it."
When she leaves, a detective tells her: "Do the right thing, Kathy. Tell him to do the right thing." Minutes later, Allen says: "I'm done talking. Arrest me." The detective: "Happy to."
He was convicted of murdering both girls and sentenced to 130 years.
Was he a man stunned by a mistake, or someone who knew exactly what that bullet meant?

At the July 2024 suppression hearing, Galipeau testified that he "did not remember" investigators coming into Westville to interview Richard Allen in November 2022.
Galipeau was literally captured on video standing directly behind Richard Allen at that November 2022 interview.
At the same July 2024 hearing, Holeman tried to reduce the November encounter at Westville to: “I attempted [to interview Rick]".
But Holeman's own video shows Rick restrained, seated at a metal table, inside some sort of interview or admin room at Westville; the warden is standing in the hallway directly outside the closed door, and Holeman sits right across from Rick at the small metal table. Holeman's video recording device is conspicuously pointed right at Rick's face.
Holeman proceeds to ask Rick if he has obtained an attorney (Rick shakes his head "no") before pressuring Rick with a lie about how "the public" and "the media" are accusing Kathy, Rick's wife, of being involved in the murders.
Just another example of the State's winning strategy in their case against Richard Allen: repeat a lie enough times, and it eventually becomes “truth” good enough to convict an innocent man.

Harshman is not an honest historian.
Rick told Kathy that he would tell police “whatever they want me to say.”
Under oath and before the jury, Harshman repeatedly changed Rick's words to: "whatever they want to know.”
“Know” manufactures guilty knowledge that Rick never had nor claimed to have.
That change was not the result of Harshman simply paraphrasing or misremembering Rick's words; it was an intentional distortion of the truth, and it was repeated over and over again throughout the trial -- before the jury.
When confronted with the official call transcript, Harshman resisted the correction before finally conceding: those were his words, not Rick's.
This is exactly how assertions became evidence in the State's case:
"Bridge Guy killed the girls."
"Rick admitted to being Bridge Guy."
"Rick killed the girls."
Change and misrepresent the facts.
Repeat them over and over.
Make the jury remember the distorted version.
Repetition replaces facts/evidence.
The python is the State.
