If 4th gen fighters are already obsolete why buy rafale?
If 4th gen fighters are going to serve for just 1 more decade, r we buying rafale just for 10 years?
If rafale is going to stay till 2060s why not make MK2 to fill nos? 30 years justifies everything.

They already hv multiple major dams on the Yarlung (largest=Medog). It's not just a safety issue, but it can also create water scarcity for us.
Then natural disasters too exist.
Historically, enemy forces have used water as a weapon multiple times, most recent ex. is 🇷🇺🇺🇦 war.
When netanyahu with almost no consequence or opposition from within the country or US couldn't even wipe out 22k palestinians, you think China "can open the tap anyday" and wipe out 2-3 crore in Bay of Bengal is just internet edgelording. GE reportedly wants about $800M for a dedicated F414 line in India, and people are calling it costly. It isn't. That is roughly 10% of the lifecycle cost, and it secures the engine for Tejas Mk2 and AMCA. India should sign fast. The real fight is the unit price and ToT.

Dear @narendramodi
If & when the proposals for LMRH & 335 K9 Vajra SPH reaches CCS, please ask the MoD team these questions:
1) I inaugurated the HAL Tumakuru factory in 2023. If we have an IDDM product like the LUH, why are we going for licensed assembly? We have a 70% stake in HAL. Why can't we just license the LUH design to these private firms? Let them research, invest, let them make the changes they want, build & learn. Why must foreign OEMs be given orders like this? Why can't we make HAL handhold the private firms to build helicopters?
2) I had seen & enjoyed being on the K9 Vajra in 2019. We'd ordered them in 2017 and more in 2024. We still haven't developed an IDDM SPH? Why not? Can't we mandatorily start development of an equivalent IDDM system whenever a relatively small import or license assembly order is placed? That way the rest of the need can be met by aatmanirbharta? And why not do it now? Why order 335 now instead of earlier? Can we still give an IDDM SPH program a chance?
3) Tjis reminds me, I saw that Zorawar Light Tank in June 2026 at L&T too. Why are we buying only 59 of that, that too in two tranches? Rest is a separate competition for 295? Competition is needed but why would a firm like L&T conduct R&D if their R&D effort in ILT is not given adequate orders while their licensed production is given order after order? Would you do it if you were running L&T? So what part of me saying Aatmanirbhar Bharat in May 2020 have you not understood even after all these years?
(If you're not satisfied with the answers & feel we can do better:)
We must make some rational changes to our procurement process if we are to achieve aatmanirbharta. Make sure DAP 2026 is edited to accommodate such reforms and send a draft to my office in three months after consulting the services, startups & SIDM.
Thank you.

Election Commission of India files counter affidavit in Supreme Court on plea against CEC's functioning; says petition built entirely on a single news report
What ECI says:
🔹 Affidavit approved unanimously by all three members: the CEC and both Election Commissioners
🔹 All three SIR orders (June 2025, October 2025, May 2026) were unanimous decisions of the Commission
🔹 Notes, queries or suggestions by the CEC or ECs while a file moves are not decisions of the Commission
🔹 Files go to one EC, then the other EC, then the CEC. In urgent cases, approval is taken electronically and recorded on file later
🔹 Any officer issuing orders beyond delegated powers will face action
🔹 July 28 work allocation order was issued by an Additional Secretary on deputation. Both ECs wrote to the Cabinet Secretary the next day. The order was never implemented after the ECs' joint direction of July 30
🔹 Form 6 has not been amended. Only the Centre can amend it. The SIR declaration is a separate document
🔹 Admits the online display could be read as an amendment. From October 21, the online application will be split into Form 6 and the declaration, as in the physical form
🔹 Unmapped voters need not attend hearings. BLOs will collect documents from their homes. Hearings only in exceptional cases, preferably online
🔹 ECINet: no name is added or deleted except by order of the ERO. A committee with experts from IIT and IISc has been set up to check compliance
🔹 Goa: of 97 "left out" voters, 88 had already been enrolled, 6 were abroad and 3 held Portuguese passports
🔹 West Bengal appeals against inclusion of voters were filed by officers of the CEO, West Bengal, under Supreme Court orders. "These matters were not brought to the Commission"
🔹 Plea to restrain the CEC is not maintainable. CEC can be removed only like a Supreme Court judge
🔹 Commission never released or authorised the release of any internal note or file to the media
🔹 Repeated challenges to EVMs already rejected by the Supreme Court
🔹 Short reply filed due to Dussehra vacation. ECI seeks liberty to file a detailed para-wise response
