In Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, a Muslim woman named Tanzim Mansoori (who took the name Tejaswini) married Hindu man Tejpal Rajput at Mahadevgarh temple on 25 October 2026.
Shortly after, while they were completing paperwork at a notary’s office, her family members arrived, assaulted the husband, and forcibly dragged her away in a vehicle despite her resistance. CCTV footage of the incident went viral. Police later recovered her; she stated in court that she wished to stay with her husband of her own free will and did not want action against her parents.

Manoranjan Roy (55), Hindu primary school teacher in Dinajpur, Bangladesh, was beaten to death on 25 Oct while mediating a land dispute. Asaduzzaman & others attacked him with sticks; he died at the scene. One suspect arrested.
