I don’t think hybe is pushing martin to produce music necessarily. i think they see his passion and fuel it by providing the resources he needs to pursue all creative avenues he’s interested in. I do think that the management around him should prevent things like falling asleep in a hotel hallway. it IS exploitation to not set guidelines for a young, passionate artist and to let them continue to engage unhealthy habits such as staying up very late with no downtime for rest afterwards while reaping the benefits of their craft. I understand that bc he’s a teen/very young he has boundless energy but no set boundaries = eventual burnout. We’ve all seen so many passionate and talented artists succumb to this and have it irreparably damage their career & psyche. I hope that this isn’t the case with him or any member. Do i think that the kpop industry is exploitative and cortis in general are overworked? 100% yes. Cortis has accomplished so much and continues to blow us all away with what they achieve. Personally, i still get so surprised when I see a new ad, photoshoot, or solo content released bc my first question is “when did they have time to do this?!” I hope their team/the company can strike a balance between an artists success vs their well-being.
