Details: Be airborne on a shield jump or paraglider. Pause and hold any items you wish to duplicate, it doesn't matter where in your inventory they are. Press Y and + together at the same time. Pick up newly duplicated item drops.

Zonai devices are also free if you close the menu with Y and +, or Y and B. Or do it while facing a wall to duplicate your inventory. Thanks to the helpful people at the speedrunning discord for coming up with it.
