My talk from @TheLeadDev is up! ✨
Dive in with me as I discuss the frontend performance problems we faced at Slack and the approaches we took to make and keep the app fast ⚡️ leaddev.com/leaddev-new-york…
oh cool, apparently my talk is on YouTube too! youtube.com/watch?v=f-B2mL5W…
If you saw my talk at LeadDev and were like "I wish this talk were more of a StaffPlus talk!" this version might be more up your alley!
I will say, though, I like the way the LeadDev talk came out more in the end ;)

(i cant help it the lyrics literally have the word "profile" in it)
ALT Screenshot of slide with adapted Taylor Swift lyrics "Let's fast forward to one collab software company later Will I view perf profiles and see issues with extra re-renders" alongside actual slide text with title "What I'm bringing to Notion" and body "Develop an understanding of the architecture and how it scales Ask "how does this affect our customers' experience?" Make performance accessible to all Scale teams responsible for performance by empowering engineers to own the performance of the areas they own"
