The writing is on the wall. Throat Goat Ethan Van Sciver is visibly in the process of winding down what's left comicsgate as he prepares for what he believes is going to be a return to DC Comics and the mainstream.
Ethan famously said he was "limping" (in regard to the health of his business and comicsgate) in 2025. One year later the leg has been amputated and Ethan is dragging in 2026. The spectacular flop of his "New Cyberfrog #1" broke Ethan.
Ethan and his zeros fell into the EXACT SAME THINKING that permeated mainstream comics. Ethan abandoned the "boring" comic book fan audience and put all his stock into trying to court the "expanded audience" of bottom tier youtuber drama and internet bloodsports. That new audience never manifested.
He drove away all the creative voices and talent in comicsgate, he drove away the fans by treating them like expendable dirt beneath his bloated heel. Streams went from being fun celebrations of comics and comic fans, with some laughing at actual clowns in the mainstream, to mean-spirited attack shows about who on the internet got under Ethan's thin skin today. He devoted 3 years to a sad one-sided jihad against Eric July for not bending the knee ad subjugating himself to Ethan's will.
Ethan fancies himself a leader of men, and in the time since he hijacked the comicsgate movement and turned it into his cult of personality, "VanSciverTown 2.0", he has proven himself time after time to be anything but a leader. He fractured they already small movement into so many splinters no one can keep track. Whenever opportunities arose where Ethan could have made a selfless choice for the betterment of "comicsgate" Ethan ALWAYS chose the most selfish option possible.
- Stacking up late and unfulfilled campaigns continuallly until he owed $2.4 million in product to the backers that trusted his word, selfish.
- Blaming those backers for being upset about having their hard-earned money taken from them and getting nothing in return, selfish.
- Chasing out all the talent under 50 years old, selfish.
- Brining in the degenerate clown show of JujuTheCow and PedoVito and their posse of mouth breathers, Selfish.
- Carrying on a 3-year cryfest over Eric July and Rippaverse, selfish.
The list goes on.
Now he sits in 2026 where comicsgate is gone. It's a STRUGGLE for Ethan and his main zeros to make $100k. It takes months of begging now. The old backers have left, been burned too many times, or have been milked completely dry. The new viewers don't give a flying screw about comics and are only there for the "social club" and the to watch all the drama.
There is no enthusiasm left in comicsgate everyone is going through the motions, fulfilling their tired worn-out obligations to maintain the status quo. The few diehard fans are obligated to protect comicsgate from all criticism. The middle tier creators, (once called "comicsgate kings") are obligated to kowtow to Ethan, Shane, Jon, Mandy and to carry their water. Ethan is obligated to pretend that he's working on his $2.4 million in overdue product and that he gives a damn about his fans. Saggy Face Shane is obligated lick Ethan's ass at all times and to protect and make excuses for Ethan's lateness. Similarly Fat Horse Mandy Summers is obligated to pretend like she gives a fuck about comics and she's not already halfway out the door on streaming with Shane and planning on taking Dale with her when she goes.
Cecil and AnnaThatRetardGirl are obligated to pretend like they are still friends with Ethan and his zeros after they got backstabbed. Crying Jon Malin is obligated to pretend that Ethan's TRASHCAST and his general shitty behavior didn't destroy the comicsgate that once lifted Jon and Richard to millions on Jawbreakers.
Comicsgate is about to end the year with only one campaign reaching $100k and that campaign is the 4th issue of Chicken Bitch Shane Davis's Pacific Rim ripoff those books used to be an event that cleared 100k in days, not months. But this works for Ethan because he is planning to leave Saggy Face Shane holding the corpse of comicsgate.
Ethan is finished with comicsgate, like any good parasite he has killed the host by poisoning it and draining every last bit of life out of it. Now he is leaping from that corpse and he thinks he's going to be able to return to @DCOfficial comics after all the feces and venom he as spread all around independent comics. 2027 is going to be the year we watch this fat tub of slop try to jump!

A 37-year-old farm worker named Ryotaro Ishii burned down the only mosque in Ebetsu, Hokkaido, on the night of February 28.
It was his third fire in 13 days.
He said to, "teach them a lesson".
In 1627, North African pirates sailed all the way to Iceland. The attack marked the beginning of a tragedy that left its mark on the island for decades—for the pirates were not merely hunting for gold and silver.
The "Turkish Abductions" (*Tyrkerranet*) were a bloody raiding expedition against Iceland in 1627. The name stems from the fact that the pirates arrived from North Africa, a region then under the rule of the Turkish-speaking Ottoman Sultan.
The attacks began in June 1627 at Grindavík, and by July, the pirates had reached the Westman Islands archipelago.
There, around 300 pirates came ashore and hunted the inhabitants "like hounds, amidst loud cries," wrote the clergyman Ólafur Egilsson.
The islanders were rounded up and bound, while those who resisted—or were deemed worthless as slaves—were killed.
From the Westman Islands alone, 242 people were abducted, and approximately 35 perished.
In total, over 400 Icelanders were taken captive by the pirates—amounting to roughly 1 percent of Iceland's population at the time.
When news of the raids reached Denmark—to which Iceland belonged at the time—five warships were dispatched to track down the pirates, but to no avail.
The captives were transported in four ships to North Africa, where many ended up in the slave markets of Algiers, "sold and disposed of as if they were cattle or dogs," wrote Ólafur Egilsson.
He himself was among the captives, but the pirates later released him, sending the clergyman back to Copenhagen to secure a ransom for the release of his fellow countrymen. His account of his captivity, dating from 1641, became one of the most important sources regarding the "Turkish Abductions"—the name given to this tragedy.
Only a small fraction of the abducted Icelanders ever returned home.
Funds were raised to ransom the captives, but it was not until nine years after the attack that a larger group of approximately 50 Icelanders could be bought free.
Most of the others spent the rest of their lives in slavery in North Africa.

Bradford drug gang jailed for more than 100 years after supplying £millions worth of Class A drugs across Yorkshire
Twelve members of a major organised crime network have been jailed for a combined total of more than 100 years after police dismantled an industrial-scale drug trafficking operation responsible for distributing huge quantities of cocaine and heroin across Yorkshire and beyond.
The Bradford-based criminal organisation was responsible for supplying more than 135kg of Class A drugs, with investigators recovering 55kg of cocaine and heroin during an extensive investigation by West Yorkshire Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit.
Eleven men and one woman were sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on Monday, 12 October 2026, following an investigation that uncovered a sophisticated network of organisers, trusted couriers and distributors operating across several regions of England.
At the centre of the operation was 35-year-old Idris Khan, of Ashgrove, Bradford, who investigators identified as the gang’s ringleader.
Khan coordinated the movement and distribution of large quantities of drugs, using trusted associates to transport supplies between locations and maintain the criminal network.
He was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
Two of his principal couriers were Akif Hashmi, 23, of Hazelwood Road, Bradford, and Ibrahim Sajad, 28, of Cavendish Court, Bradford.
A major breakthrough came in August 2025 when officers arrested Hashmi and discovered an enormous quantity of illegal drugs.
He was found in possession of 20kg of cocaine, 23kg of heroin and three bags of crack cocaine, with a combined estimated street value of £4.3 million.
Hashmi’s wife, Kiran Mahmood, 24, was also arrested during the operation.
Hashmi received a prison sentence of 13 years and three months, while Sajad was jailed for seven years and six months.
Mahmood was sentenced to three years and nine months after being convicted of conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.
Investigators also identified two other significant figures within the organisation.
Ibras Khan, 38, of Naseby Rise, Queensbury, and Ataf Ali, 35, of Grange Drive, Bradford, were found to have arranged and facilitated the movement of approximately 31kg of drugs over just two months.
Their involvement demonstrated the scale and frequency of the trafficking operation, with substantial quantities of Class A substances being moved through the network.
Ibras Khan was sentenced to 14 years and nine months, while Ali received 14 years and three months.
Further investigations established connections between the Bradford organisation and individuals operating in Huddersfield, Sheffield, Blackpool and Ashford, highlighting the geographical reach of the conspiracy.
The remaining defendants sentenced were:
Moshin Mian, 29, of Westgate, Huddersfield – 12 years and four months.
Michael Littlewood, 38, of Sunnyhurst Avenue, Blackpool – 10 years and six months.
Noor Hamid Khan, 33, of Grimesthorpe Road, Sheffield – six years and three months.
Mohammed Usman, 30, of Lindley Road, Bradford – five years and three months.
Mohammed Usman, 44, of Courtnay Close, Bradford – five years and three months.
Muhammed Chaudhary, 34, of Queens Walk, Ashford – four years and six months.
Two further defendants, Mohsin Bangash, 27, of Fairburn Gardens, Bradford, and Lukman Patel, 35, of Homeway Road, Leicester, are scheduled to be sentenced on 28 October 2026.
Detective Inspector Kevin Daly, who investigated the criminal network, described the case as an incredibly complex operation involving numerous officers working to dismantle a sophisticated drug supply conspiracy.
He said the defendants had profited substantially from their criminal activities while distributing Class A drugs on an industrial scale.
The investigation exposed a major trafficking network capable of moving tens of kilograms of cocaine and heroin between towns and cities, generating substantial criminal profits.
The 12 defendants have received combined prison sentences totalling 113 years and five months, with further sentencing proceedings still to take place.
