I'm really proud of how Keyboard Express turned out. I poured a lot of love and creativity into this one. Kids type the words on the track before the train hits them and get every wagon of cargo to the finish line. Made for edclub with React Three Fiber and @threejs.

Here's what worked, what felt awkward, and ideas you can try in your own app

Cool app for learning to read music and understand music theory. It has a beautiful, unique design and plenty of lessons and exercises.
Treble Trouble ships in 15 App Store languages, on iPhone and iPad, 8 screens each. That's 240 images, and a design change makes them all stale.
I don't make any by hand. One script captures them from the Simulator, a second frames them with captions.

My prediction for software engineering over the next 3 to 5 years.
AI won't replace software engineers. It'll drive even greater demand for them.
A team of 5 experienced engineers using AI will outperform a team of 20 pre-AI.
Which will dramatically reduce the cost of building software.
I think we'll see Jevons paradox in action. As something becomes cheaper and more efficient to produce, demand for it can increase dramatically.
Thousands of software projects that previously weren't economically viable will become worth doing.
The winners will be companies, big and small, that behave like Google, Amazon and 3M, with a culture of experimentation, a willingness to try lots of ideas and the discipline to kill their darlings.
TL/DR: Smaller engineering teams, more innovation, more software products, and potentially more software engineers than ever.
What do you think?

These 3.5 seconds did more to fortify American Identity than any establishment politician or political party in the last generation.
100 years of neoliberal rule was vaporized in 3.5 seconds.
Rejoice, we are still America. 🇺🇸
I led edclub's 3D team that built Typo's Voyage, a @threejs typing game many students play on school Chromebooks. Now I build web games with Claude as a creative partner, plus open-source tools like three-kit. I write up the craft here: zubin.dev/

A long level in Typo's Voyage had hundreds of draw calls a frame, and lots of kids play it on school Chromebooks. Now every tile and 3D letter goes through four @threejs BatchedMeshes, and a whole treadmill animates from one vec4 a frame.

Every tile, post, cactus and gem in Roll It has an ink outline, and the game has no outline pass. Each material draws its own ink in the fragment shader. For a box, the middle of its three face distances is the distance to the nearest edge.

My tolerance for bad software has quickly dropped. It's too easy to fix and polish shit nowadays. No excuse for shipping broken garbage.
I'll gladly support a small team that actually wants to fix their software over big companies who can't make a functioning app.
We announced an agreement to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum license portfolio that will pave the way for @Starlink to become a major mobile carrier in the US.
With this new spectrum and our Gen2 constellation, Starlink Mobile can ensure Americans have access to high-speed mobile broadband no matter where they are → spacex.com/updates#starlink-…
