@SkySportsBoxing Hi, I have purchased tonight's fight but my Sky Sports Box Ofguce app won't play the event. It says, error code PPV_3016
Could you please shed some light on this?

“Starmer and his government have so far done absolutely nothing to address the issue facing British television, or to harness its soft power potential.”

It’s been incredibly heartening to finally see big name directors, writers and producers speaking out about the crisis in UK TV production over the past week.

The UK TV industry is facing a ‘perfect storm’ that threatens the future of British storytelling, warns Elisabeth Murdoch. With broadcasters focusing on dramas with international appeal, British stories from all corners of the UK are struggling to be told. Many experienced producers are now taking on jobs like shelf-stacking and pub work to make ends meet.
Murdoch highlighted how rising production costs, declining ad revenues, and falling BBC licence fee income have worsened the crisis. While global platforms invest in UK-based productions, they often lack the uniquely British perspective that public service broadcasters provide.
Some are calling for tax breaks or levies on streamers to fund local content, but confidence in the industry remains low. With fewer risks being taken, shows like Happy Valley, Fleabag, and Skins may become harder to make.
Should the government step in to support British storytelling, or should market forces decide? Let us know your thoughts. #UKTV #SupportBritishStories #FilmIndustryCrisis

And the grim articles keep on coming…
“The harsh reality is that the UK free-to-air broadcasters have been slow to react and have been left behind.”
And as a result thousands are without work… Great reporting from @wturvill

Here’s one idea for scripted TV to breathe life back into a dying industry. There have to be others and we need them now. You want the next Russell T, Sally W, James G, Sarah P? Then invest to create opportunities so more people can make a sustainable living telling stories. 🤷♂️
