Have you ever held a break action shotgun? He has clear control of the gun. You can point the barrel any direction from the back half. There's nothing downrange from where the barrel is pointed. But then again the gun devil might throw a slug in there out of nowhere

I want to thank @mckt_, bc he pointed out I correctly misidentified a break action shotgun. This doesnt change the fact that this is an unsafe way to carry a shotgun. In fact, my trip scenario is even worse in the case of a break action like this. Follow the 3 rules
