UPDATE: 2:20 AM As rescue efforts continue at Holy City Church, Brother Ronnies Ministries, in Bwerenga,the NBRB investigations team remains on the ground, piecing together preliminary evidence to help establish the circumstances surrounding the building collapse.

BUILDING COLLAPSE IN BWERENGA We @NBRBug are responding to reports of a building collapse at Holy City Church, Brother Ronnies Ministries, in Bwerenga,Katabi Town Council,Wakiso District.The cause of the collapse & details regarding any casualties are yet to be established.

Devastating news coming out of Eastleigh, Nairobi, where a multi-storey building under construction has collapsed, with several people feared trapped beneath the rubble. Rescue teams are responding to the scene.

Salutations to these young Ugandans collecting data on the earthquake resilience of our buildings. Their dedication and commitment will provide valuable insights to guide planning and inform interventions towards a safer, more resilient and sustainable built environment.

IMPORTANT: Government will from Monday, 7 Sept start assessing building in Kampala to know their safety in case of an earthquake strike. Enumerators will come to your areas to collect this information. Let's participate in this exercise.
