Chris Ash had 2 weeks to prepare for Navy and his defense looks like it's never seen the option.
We play fkin navy every year, we know what they’re gonna do. And we’re just getting fucking embarrassed.
What are we doing!? We look so bad, defense is getting out toughed, offense is not running the fkin ball, just a horrible first half.

WOW: Notre Dame fans are FURIOUS that no penalty flag was thrown on the final play against BYU.
Kirk Herbstreit said on the broadcast that he believed both holding and PI should have been called.
Notre Dame could have had a chance to win the game from the 1-yard line.

There is 1 second on this clock when the ball hits the ground..... can someone explain why the game is over?

There was actually 1 second left in the ND-BYU game.
Just horrifically officiated all around.

NOTRE DAME FANS ARE FURIOUS AFTER THIS CONTROVERSIAL NO-CALL AGAINST BYU.
And the replay makes the situation even more interesting.
On the final play of the Notre Dame–BYU matchup, a Fighting Irish receiver attempted to make a catch while being closely defended by a BYU player.
But as the football arrived, the defender appeared to make significant contact with the receiver before he could complete the catch.
And somehow, no pass interference penalty was called.
The video shows the two players battling for position as the ball comes down, with the BYU defender making contact while the Notre Dame receiver attempts to secure the pass.
Despite the contact, officials allowed the play to continue without throwing a flag.
The decision immediately raised questions about whether defensive pass interference should have been called.
Under college football rules, defenders are allowed to compete for the football, but they cannot significantly restrict an eligible receiver’s opportunity to make a catch through illegal contact.
The difficult part is determining whether the contact constitutes interference or is simply part of two players competing for the ball.
And that’s exactly why plays like this generate so much controversy.
For Notre Dame, the stakes couldn’t have been higher, with the play coming at the very end of the game.
For BYU, the absence of a penalty meant the defensive play stood.
It’s the kind of officiating decision that can dominate the conversation long after the final whistle.
One play, no flag, and plenty of controversy.

Why didnt they review this?
Definitely 1 second on the clock. This sport is a mess. Love thee Notre Dame #GoIrish ☘️

What I don’t understand is why isn’t this even reviewed? Why aren’t we stopping things for a second?
A huge game and the officials simply walk off and don’t do their job. Makes no sense.

🚨🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨🚨
NEW FOOTAGE SHOWS THAT NOTRE DAME SHOULD HAVE HAD ONE SECOND LEFT ON THE CLOCK AGAINST BYU.
INSTEAD, THE REFS LET THE CLOCK EXPIRE AND ENDED THE GAME.
THEY ALSO APPEARED TO MISS A BLATANT PASS INTERFERENCE PENALTY ON THE SAME PLAY.
Should have been a PI call and there was clearly a second left. We didn’t deserve to win, but we also didn’t deserve to lose like that. Absolutely brutal.
