Here’s the entire Weslaco comeback in the 6A #UILState Championship in its entirety. 8 runs capped off by a walk off grand slam by Andrea Ortiz. The entire lineup came up to the plate. No one more, no one less.

PATRICK MAHOMES JUST PUT UP 819 TOTAL YARDS. The Texas Tech quarterback throws for 734 yards and five touchdowns, then adds two more scores on the ground against Oklahoma. The Red Raiders still lose, 66-59.

This is what has bothered me with the Josh Simmons discourse regarding where the Chiefs drafted him: they had had left tackle problems since Eric Fisher (and Orlando Brown for that matter). They had no clear answers based on teams keeping their franchise LTs (duh) and where they consistently drafted. They were confident in his post knee surgery. But that hasn’t been the problem. It’s been deeper than that. They took a swing on what they could (STILL) get. I remember people applauding the pick. Playing revisionist history with this is easy to do but I won’t participate, based on the circumstances at the time. I really do believe Simmons loves football. You have to look at his history and what he has come back from. Football love is not the problem. It’s something deeper than that which I don’t think we may ever know. This isn’t Breeland Speaks or Skyy Moore. This was the best left tackle in the 2025 draft they took a swing on and why they will see this through. Where he rehabs will be fascinating to watch.
Vehemently disagree with anyone saying Josh Simmons is Brett Veach's worst draft pick. You absolutely take that swing when you have a potential All-Pro LT sitting there at 32. Of course there was risk. It sucks that it hasn't worked. But you take that swing 10 out of 10 times.

Would you like to ask for a trade to the Kansas City Chiefs, Mr. LaPorta? Get started early on your next team?

What Patrick Mahomes is doing this year is even wilder than what his numbers already suggest
Looks like Mahomes is “secretly” telling Walker the run game calls….very cool. @aqshipley ? @BigDuke50 ? @AndrewWhitworth ? #nfllive

I’ve never been more impressed by an insane push off by Rome Odunze and he STILL dropped the ball. That’s hard to do.
It's crazy Rome never gets slandered, Marv and BTJ slander fills my TL every Sunday but nobody says anything about Rome

I’m done trying to figure out this situation and be mad about former draft picks after he’s on IR so I can just enjoy the Chiefs undefeated season up to this point with the best free agent signing of the year, a healthy Patrick Mahomes, and a promising draft class. You do you.

On the bright side with this whole Josh Simmons thing, Kahlil Benson is one of the best Chiefs scouting stories in quite some time and they cannot be commended enough for their eye of his talent and drive along with Andy Reid and Andy Heck’s hand(s) in his development.

You could see the body language in Kenneth Walker change in real time when he realized what John Schneider was saying

Based on the way Rick Burkholder thoroughly explained this Josh Simmons process, I’m still trying to figure out why the Chiefs weren’t more forthright explaining what was happening. Seems like they were kicking the can down the road hoping and NOW decided to just let him rehab.
Josh Simmons (back) is being placed on IR, per Vice President of Sports Medicine and Performance Rick Burkholder.

Thank you for the great excuse of allowing me to post the Pink Floyd lineup of David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason playing Comfortably Numb together for the final time. The last song they all did together.
Replying to @ChasingSnyder
Not being allowed to experience more original members performing Comfortably Numb is a far greater loss than their MNF play-by-play. I get it though.
